Here is a PC in color that is out of the ordinary. Dressed in plum purple, the HP Pavilion 14-ce3031nf is a 14-inch ultrabook designed for work and play. It is armed with a beautiful system responsiveness thanks to the 512 GB SSD storage and is based on a base quite comfortable with current use with a 10th generation Core i5-1035G1, a dedicated input graphics card GeForce MX130 range and 8 GB of RAM. The matte Full HD screen provides comfort to moviegoers, the keyboard is backlit, the look neat and the connections quite varied but the autonomy is not extraordinary and the screen of very average quality (TN).

The HP Pavilion 14-ce3031nf is an original color, a mauve purple also called plum by HP which is not flashy enough to attract attention but fancy enough to stand out. Elegance remains in order with an aesthetic that plays on smooth and matt surfaces surmounted on the back by a chrome logo. The back of the cover is covered in metal for extra strength and the rest in polycarbonate / plastic. The silhouette is angular with protruding edges and the central hinge has been slightly redesigned compared to the previous generation. This will raise the keyboard when opening the cover for typing comfort and good air circulation underneath, a good point.
The purple keyboard keys are backlit white to highlight typing. It is very useful for working in all environments, even the darkest.

It is a Core i5-1035G1 Quad Core low consumption which gains a few points in performance over its predecessors (i5-8565U Whiskey Lake / i5-10210U Comet Lake) thanks to a finer engraving (10 nm). Essentially, it fully supports everyday use (Web browsing, Office processing, video) and masters a few more demanding applications taking advantage of the multicore architecture (video editing, Photoshop, etc.). Opposite, the 8 GB RAM provides a fluid multitasking environment.
Good point, a GeForce MX130 graphics card is on the menu to support multimedia when the Intel UHD G1 chip integrated into the processor struggles. Overall, it offers the same level of performance as a previous generation GeForce 940MX and will only be able to play in small conditions by lowering the screen definition to standard (1366 x 768 px). The game in Full HD is possible, but only on titles not greedy and by revising the level of details downwards. In short, this entry-level card is especially useful for supporting the processor in the processing of certain tasks that are a little too greedy for the integrated chip.
Storage is also receiving attention since it is entrusted to a 512 GB NVMe SSD . This type of storage supplants the hard drive thanks to its excellent responsiveness attributed to the system.
