A matte Full HD screen also meets the call for moviegoers but its case is not young at first with what goes with: limited connectivity, plastic, no borderless, non backlit keyboard, imposing dimensions etc …

Chassis, connectors, HP Pavilion 15-bc506nf display
Question design, the HP Pavilion 15-bc506nf is not early youth judging by its plastic case and its borders around the screen thick but it remains attractive thanks to an aesthetic that turns to a versatile target, seeking thus to move away from the screaming codes of the gamer world. The overall design goes towards sobriety with a completely black case that plays on discrete finishes to stand out. The lid is smooth and matte and the turn of the keyboard is embellished with an elegant brushed effect. In addition, HP dressed chiclet keys (spaced) white outlines on the height but the keyboard does not have a backlight system, it’s a shame.
The screen rests on a slab of 15.6 inches Full HD mate. As mentioned above, the HP Pavilion does not interfere with any edge-to-edge design and the support of the TN panel (SVA) involves narrow viewing angles. In addition, the Full HD(1920 x 1080px) definition is the most suitable for gamers and allows you to make the most of your High Definition content while the anti- glare treatment prevents the ambient light from being reflected on the screen, improving comfort when playing video or in play (especially in dark scenes).
HP has not seen fit to update the connector on its PC that does not include a USB Type-C port. There are three USB ports including two USB 3.1, an HDMI output, a Gigabit Ethernet port and an SD card reader. The recent Wifi 802.11 AC and Bluetooth 4.2 recent modules are also on the menu.
Performance, autonomy of the HP Pavilion 15-bc506nf
Storage is one of the main strengths of this Pavilion 15-bc506nf since it is entrusted to a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD which will significantly enhance the overall system responsiveness in everyday life. Overall quieter, more robust, and more energy efficient than a mechanical drive, it allows Windows to achieve a remarkable level of fluidity with short load times and latency-free operation. What’s more, its capacity is not ridiculous and can host a good part of your toy library even if some will not find it enough. Namely a 2.5 inch slot is logically free inside.
Another component in the spotlight, the latest-generation Quad Core i5-9300HCoffee Lake Refresh processor is expected to gain significantly in power over its predecessor (i5-8300H) but not enough to mark a noticeable difference though. For short, this translates into a complete management of versatile use consisting of video editing, 3D rendering, programming or lightweight parallelization (lightweight Lightroom). Opposite, with 8 GB of RAM , you have plenty of fluidity in multitasking to navigate serenely in Windows 10.
HP has boosted the battery of its Pavilion which now enjoys a capacity of 63.3 Whr. Without being spectacular, it allows to get a proper autonomy of about 6 hours in Internet browsing via Wifi , a good point for those who want to try a little mobility.
The graphic part comes last in our argument. And for good reason, HP has commissioned the GeForce GTX 1050 (3GB GDDR5) , a dedicated graphics card of mid-range generation. Thought for the casual game, it allows you to play all current titles in Full HD with a level of detail set to Medium or High. But do not expect to push the details on “Ultra” in Full HD, let alone play in 4K. Note that it is also of a certain support in the exploitation of programs taking advantage of the graphics card to accelerate the processing (3D).
