It’s a perfect package for productivity that the HP 15s-eq1110nf offers. This elegant 15-inch ultrabook in its silver body is designed to work and play efficiently since it is equipped with a low-power Ryzen 7 Octo Core processor that does not lack resources in all areas (office, multimedia and a bit Creation). We also cross a 12 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD storage to boost the system as well as a 15-inch IPS Full HD matte screen with thin borders. A complete connection is also part of the game but entry level requires, the case is plastic and the keyboard not backlit.

Chassis, connectors, screen of the HP 15s-eq1110nf
If it does not radically change the codes present on entry-level HP laptops, the design of the HP 15s-eq1110nf takes the right turns. Installed in a silver polycarbonate shell, it adorns the keyboard with a brushed-effect graphic pattern while the rest of the case remains smooth and mat for a look that goes anywhere. The screen borders are slightly refined on the sides but we are still quite far from borderless.
The keyboard is not backlit on this model but has a numeric keypad .
It is in terms of format that we can see the efforts made by HP. With 1.69 kg on the scale for this model without hard disk and 17.9 mm thick, the PC displays the measurements of an ultrabook and will not be against a few trips.
We then move on to the screen, which here offers itself a Full HD definition (1920 x 1080 px) which provides a healthy display density for viewing High Definition content in the best conditions. On the other hand, the IPS panel works to open the viewing angles and faithfully reproduce the colors while the matt treatment of the panel acts as a barrier to reflections associated with use in high ambient light. A plus for comfort.
For its part, the connection receives all the standard at this level with the presence of two USB 3.2 ports of standard size, a USB 3.2 Type-C port , an HDMI output, a multiformat SD card reader and a headphone jack. The fairly recent versions of the Wifi AC and Bluetooth 4.2 modules are also on the menu, but the Ethernet port has disappeared, due to finesse.
Performance, battery life of the HP 15s-eq1068nf
Storage is crucial inside the HP 15s-eq1068nf since it relies on a fast dedicated 1TB SSD (NVMe PCIe) . The system gains there directly compared to a configuration with mechanical hard disk because of the speed of loading offered by the SSD. This type of storage ensures almost instantaneous switching on and off, transfers calculated in seconds or instantaneous software launches where the mechanical support involved significant latencies. Note also that the SSD is by nature more silent, robust and efficient than a hard drive. And if it is often tackled for its too low storage capacity, this is not the case here since it provides 1 TB, enough to allow the
But the strength of the PC lies above all in its processor, an AMD Ryzen Renoir (2020) Ryzen 7 4700U Octo Corelow consumption. This shows a nice increase in performance compared to the Ryzen 7 3700U (2019), thanks in particular to the number of cores which doubles but also to the finer engraving used. For all common office-type uses, we can claim to be able to obtain scores close to an Intel Core i7-1065G7 but the difference is more visibly drawn on tasks that are greedy in processor resources that can take advantage of all the cores such as the creation of content (editing, rendering, modeling …). Namely that we remain on low consumption (TDP 15W), so do not expect from this processor the same resources as an Octo Core-H (Ryzen 7 4800H) which is a processor designed for complex calculations thorough.
On the other hand, the 12 GB RAM is a force to enjoy comfortable multitasking whatever your use and to look forward to the years to come with peace of mind.
The HP is not intended to play but the Radeon Vega 7integrated into the processor is not against some occasional parts. At the level of an NVIDIA GeForce MX330, its capacities are more than enough for everyday work and the tasks listed above and even allow some games from time to time on games that are not very demanding graphically. Most will require you to make some concessions on screen definition and / or details however. Especially since the processor is forced to make some concessions on its power in this case (reduced TDP), due to the compactness of the chassis. By this mean that you will not be able to take full advantage of the potential of the components but that the whole will still allow you to play and create in good conditions, a bargain already for the price.
Finally, the 41 Whr battery should allow about 6 hours of battery life in Internet browsing with active WiFi, enough to enjoy a little freedom on the move, without asking too much.
