14″ Ultrabooks Acer Spin 3 SP314-55N and Spin 5 SP514-51N Specs & Overview

The Acer Spin 3 SP314-55N is a new 2-in-1 Ultrabook that weighs 1.42 Kg, measures 320.4 x 206.7 x 18.95 mm and offers an advertised battery life of 13 hours on Windows 11.

It is able to convert into a Tablet thanks to its 14-inch IPS Full HD (1920×1080) multi-touch touch screen that can be opened in 360°, manipulated with fingers or the optional Acer Acive Stylus (Wacom AES 1.0) stylus.

This laptop integrates an Intel Alder Lake processor and more precisely Alder Lake-U Core i3-1215U (6 cores, 1.2 GHz, 2P 4E), Core i5-1235U (10 cores, 1.3 GHz, 2P 8E) or Core i7-1255U (10 cores, 1.7 GHz, 2P 8E), all with Iris Xe integrated graphics solution.

Also found in this hybrid laptop is up to 16 GB LPDDR4x 4266MHz of soldered RAM as well as an M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage with a maximum capacity of 1 TB.

On the connectivity side, there are Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2, Intel Wi-Fi AX201) and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless modules, an HDMI video output, a Headphone/Microphone combo audio port, 2 USB 3.2, 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 and a microSD card reader.

The Acer Spin 3 SP314-55N also has a backlit chiclet keyboard, 2 Acer TrueHarmony DTS Audio speakers as well as an HD webcam with microphone.

It is expected for June from 999 euros while its larger brother more upscale Acer Spin 5 SP514-51N is scheduled for next July from 1399 euros.

The Acer Spin 5 SP514-51N weighs 1.3 Kg, measures 311.2 x 218.2 x 16.9 mm and incorporates up to 16 GB LPDDR5 5200MHz of soldered RAM.

In addition, it is built around a more powerful Intel Alder Lake-P processor, either Core i5-1240P (12 cores, 1.7 GHz, 4P 8E) or Core i7-1260P (12 cores, 2.1 GHz, 4P 8E), both housing the Intel Iris Xe graphics part.

Also openable at 360 ° and convertible into a Tablet, it is distinguished by its 14-inch 16/10th IPS 2.5K (2560×1600) touch screen with low blue light emission.

The associated optional stylus is an Acer Active Stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 technology 4096 pressure levels.

In addition, it is equipped with a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button to authenticate by biometric recognition via Windows Hello.
