Acer Enduro T1 (ET110-31W) Review, Specs, Details

During the Global Press Conference 2020, Acer announced its new range of rugged Enduro devices that includes the N3 and N7 notebooks and the Acer Enduro T1 and T5 tablets , designed to offer the solidity, portability and performance needed by professionals working in the field. The new products can be used in operational and production environments – both outdoor and indoor – thanks to MIL-STD 810G certifications and up to IP65. We had the opportunity to preview Acer Enduro T1 (ET110-31W) , the rugged tablet with Windows 10 Pro, Intel Apollo Lake and 10.1-inch display. Below our live test.

Acer Enduro T1 (ET110-31W) Review

Acer Enduro T1 is an extremely reliable, durable and perfect tablet for productivity on the go. The armored aluminum and rubber frame offers a very aggressive design which, in addition to protecting it from falls (up to 122 cm), allows the tablet to withstand high and low temperatures, low pressure, dust and sand, humidity, rain and strong vibrations . As Marco Santucci , Product Manager Commercial PC, told us , the Enduro T1 series can count on a very sensitive capacitive touch display , capable of recognizing the pressure of fingers wet or covered by gloves.

Acer Enduro T1 with Windows (ET110-31W) is a flexible and robust tablet that can be transformed into a notebook thanks to an optional removable keyboard. Despite being a rugged device, it measures 178 x 290 x 11.7 mm, has a weight of only 0.9 kg (battery included) and is therefore excellent for mobility. The variant we tested has the Intel Celeron N3450 (Apollo Lake) quad-core processor , 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, Intel HD Graphics GPU and 64GB eMMC storage. The screen is a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS (1280 x 800 pixels) , Corning Gorilla Glass coating , high brightness (350 nit), 16:10 shape aspect and wide viewing angle (170 °).

As for the audio sector, we find a single speaker, an integrated microphone and a 3.5 mm jack input for connecting headphones. Interesting is the presence of a double webcam – front and rear – with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels and 2560 x 1920 pixels respectively. The battery is a 37Wh two-cell unit that provides up to 10 hours of battery life and supports fast charging via 45W USB Type-C.

Turning to connectivity, Enduro can rely on a dual-band WiFi module (2.4GHz / 5GHz) for a stable connection, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC optional and on the interfaces: micro HDMI, USB 3.2, USB Type-C for the power supply, keyboard connector, microSD card reader and USB 2.0. The various power buttons, volume adjustment, access to Windows functions and the two programmable are all arranged on the sides of the screen and not on the side edge as in most tablets.

In addition to the Acer Control Center, there is the Acer Enduro Manageability Suite (AEMS) which protects the device, facilitating the implementation of services and system configurations on many products simultaneously. Finally, the optional accessories are numerous and we find: hand strap, barcode scanner, portfolio keyboard, hand grip and shoulder strap.

We remind you that there is also a version of Enduro T1 with 8-inch display , Android operating system and MediaTek processor. This model is slightly more compact and is designed for dealers, warehouse workers and factory workers. Acer Enduro T1 Android can be purchased for € 699 , while the Windows variant we tested will have a price of € 1399 . Although these are devices with mid-range technical specifications, the cost is very high both for their resistance characteristics and for the excellent build quality.
