Chassis, connectors, screen of Acer Swift 3 SF313-52G-74CL

Rechargeable for 4 hours in 30 minutes, it sports a sober and elegant design with its fine and light silver chassis made of magnesium-aluminum alloy.

This versatile nomad Ultrabook is well equipped in terms of connectivity. We find integrated Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi ax wireless modules to communicate and connect remotely, a useful HDMI video output in order to easily connect this PC to a monitor or TV for example, an audio port or even 2 USB (USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 compatible), USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you plug in a USB 3.0 device.

As a biometric reader is integrated, we can authenticate on this PC by fingerprint recognition via Windows Hello technology.

A backlight system equips the chiclet keyboard which is useful for distinguishing its keys in the dark.

The screen stands out with its 3: 2 format offering more height than the 16 / 9th, which is for example practical for presentations or for surfing on sites where you have to scroll the screen vertically. Its QHD definition offering a display space greater than Full HD is therefore just like the latter for High Definition content. With its brilliant treatment, the screen gives punch to the colors but proves to be subject to reflections in a bright environment (ex: outside) when it wants to be nomadic, which may disappoint some. In any case, thanks to its IPS technology, the screen offers more faithful colorimetry than the average as well as significant vertical and horizontal viewing angles.

Performances, autonomy of Acer Swift 3 SF313-52G-74CL

The Acer Swift 3 SF313-52G-74CL may be of interest to those looking for a compact High Definition laptop for versatile, everyday use.

It is easy to transport thanks to its compactness, finesse and lightness. In addition to the autonomy, we can bet on about 10 hours of battery operation in light use.

To offer such autonomy, this Ultrabook relies on energy- efficient components like its good amount of RAM of 16 GB above the average and its Quad Core i7-1065G7 Ice Lake processor that we tested , both low consumption.

This duo achieves good general performance capable of satisfying many users. It must however be borne in mind that in order to carry out tasks that consume processor resources, it would be beneficial to turn to a PC with a non-low-power processor.

Whether with the Intel Iris Plus Graphics G7 graphics solution integrated into the Core i7-1065G7 or the dedicated GeForce MX350 card, it is of course possible to watch photos and videos on this Ultrabook equipped with NVIDIA Optimus technology.

Optimus automatically switches in practice in real time between the Iris Plus G7 and the GeForce MX350, depending on the tasks performed. The Iris Plus G7 tested is favored as much as possible by Optimus despite its more modest benefits (significantly higher than that of the UHD 620, lower than a GeForce MX250) because it consumes little energy which favors autonomy compared to the GeForce MX350.

Thanks to the more powerful and greedy GeForce MX350 than the Iris Plus Graphics G7, this thin and light Ultrabook is capable of handling games that are not too greedy with concessions under the opus greedy in graphic resources to obtain good playability.

In terms of storage, here too Asus has chosen to reduce energy consumption by integrating an SSD into this PC. It is more energy efficient than a hard drive but also more robust, silent and much faster.

On a daily basis thanks to the SSD, we benefit from start / stop, processing and launching of applications / games much faster than with a hard disk, and we can for example arrive faster on the cards of online games.
In addition here, we find integrated an SSD with a large capacity of 1 TB rivaling hard drives.
