Chassis, connectors, screen of the Asus VivoBook 17 S1702ZA-BX015W
This versatile Ultrabook sports a sober and elegant look with its thin and light Icelight Silver light silver design.
This versatile laptop is properly equipped in terms of connectivity with its USB-C, its convenient HDMI video output to easily connect it to a monitor or TV for example, its Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 wireless modules for wireless remote connections and communications, its audio port or its 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB devices 3.0 are plugged into it.

Too bad not to find Wi-Fi ax and Bluetooth 5 modules more recent and powerful or backlight solution of the chiclet keyboard to better discern its keys in the dim light.
The screen adopts a 16/9th format well suited to the playback of videos and is content with a definition 1600×900 lower than Full HD that we are entitled to expect at this price level. As it is treated anti-reflective, the screen is in any case more readable in bright environments (eg exterior) than a shiny slab and less tiring for the eyes in prolonged use.
Performance, battery life of the Asus VivoBook 17 S1702ZA-BX015W
The Asus VivoBook 17 S1702ZA-BX015W is a relatively thin and lightweight 17-inch laptop intended for versatile everyday mobile use.
The overall performance provided by this versatile laptop is suitable for many users. Because it is built around 8 GB of RAM and a low-power Intel Alder Lake-P Core i5-1240P processor with 12 hybrid cores. Its TDP of 28W higher than the classic 15W impacts the autonomy but implies better performance.
The latter deliver their full potential in areas that take advantage of multi-core, such as photo editing or video encoding.
Nevertheless, if the objective is to often perform work demanding in processor and / or graphics resources, it is better to opt instead for a PC based on a non-low-power processor and / or a suitable dedicated graphics card.
No dedicated graphics card is embedded here indeed. All graphics are therefore managed by the Intel Iris Xe solution directly integrated into the Core i5 Alder Lake-P. Clearly, you can look at photos but also play modest titles.

In any case, thanks to the SSD, the processing, start/stop and launch of applications are for example much faster than with a hard disk, and we reach faster on the cards of online games.
In general, the SSD ensures a much better responsiveness and fluidity than a simple hard disk. Because an SSD is much faster while being silent, less energy consuming and more robust.
As for the autonomy, count on about 5 hours of operation on battery in light use for this versatile Ultrabook whose lightness and finesse facilitate transport.
