Chassis, connectors, screen of the Asus Vivobook K513EA-BQ609T
With its thin and light light silver design, it sports a sober and elegant look.
The connectivity integrated into this versatile Ultrabook is good, composed of 1 USB-C, Wi-Fi ax modules(newer and more powerful than Wi-Fi ac)and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless remote connections and communications, a convenient HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port or 3 USB all compatible USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guarantees transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect a USB 3.0 device to it.
Good point, the chiclet keyboard can be backlit which is very convenient to better discern its keys when the ambient light is low.
The screen will interest for its part the lovers of videos and more generally of High Definition content because it is adorned with a 16/9th format coupled with a precise Full HD definition. In addition, as it is anti-reflective, it is more readable in bright environments (e.g. exterior) than a shiny slab. Another interesting point is that its IPS technology guarantees significant vertical and horizontal viewing angles. However, in view of the positioning of this PC, it is logical that the colorimetry is average, lower than that of more high-end IPS panels.
Performance, battery life of the Asus Vivobook K513EA-BQ609T
The Asus Vivobook K513EA-BQ609T is a thin and light 15-inch High Definition laptop intended for common versatile use.
It integrates a low-power Intel Tiger Lake Quad Core i5-1135G7 processor as well as 8 GB of RAM very useful for multitasking. As a result, this versatile Ultrabook delivers good overall performance able to satisfy many users.
With this thin and light laptop, you can watch photos and videos but also play titles not too demanding in graphic resources. How? Thanks to theIntel Iris Xe (which we tested),a graphics solution integrated into the Quad Core i5 whose performance is significantly higher than that of the classic Intel UHD 620.
On the storage side, there is an SSD whose capacity of 512 GB corresponds to what hard drives offer as standard. But compared to the latter, an SSD offers several advantages: quiet operation, greater robustness, lower power consumption and greater velocity.
Concretely, responsiveness and fluidity are much better on a daily basis with an SSD than with a hard disk. For example, thanks to the SSD, we obtain much faster software launches, processing and starts/stops, and we reach the maps of online games faster.
If 512 GB turns out to be too fair, you can always use an external storage unit such as a USB-C/USB 3.0 device to get fast transfers.
