Chassis, connectors, screen of the HP 14s-dq4010nf
This thin and light laptop that can be recharged to 50% in 45 minutes sports a sober and elegant look with its natural silver design brushed vertical pattern keyboard frame.
Its connectivity is good, including 1 USB-C, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless modules for remote connections and communications, a convenient HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port without forgetting 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are connected to it.
Too bad however not to have to deal with Wi-Fi ax and Bluetooth 5 more recent and powerful, but also to not be able to backlight the keyboard to better distinguish its keys.
With its 16/9th aspect ratio and its precise Full HD definition superior to the standard 1366×768, the screen lends itself in any case very well to the display of High Definition content such as videos. Thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, it is also more readable in bright environments (e.g. outside) than a shiny slab.
Performance, battery life of the HP 14s-dq4010nf
The HP 14s-dq4010nf is a compact responsive laptop designed for everyday mobile use.
The general performance it provides is able to satisfy many users because it relies on 8 GB of RAM associated with a low-power Intel Tiger Lake processor, the Quad Core i5-1155G7, a 28W edition against 15W usually which implies more power but also less autonomy for the same battery.
In this regard, bet on about 6 hours on battery in light use for this versatile Ultrabook with an elegant silver design that is in any case easy to carry thanks to its compactness, finesse and controlled weight.
No dedicated graphics card embedded here. Nevertheless, thanks to the Iris Xe graphics part (which we tested) you can watch photos and videos but also play titles that are not too demanding in graphic resources.
SSD storage significantly enhances responsiveness and fluidity in use compared to a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, the starts/stops, processing and launches of applications are much faster for example and we reach faster on the cards of online games.

It must be said that an SSD has several advantages compared to a hard disk: greater velocity, silence of operation, lower power consumption, greater robustness.
With its 512 GB, the SSD offers here a capacity similar to the standard in hard drives. However, in the event that this is insufficient, we can use an external storage unit such as a USB-C/USB 3.0 device to obtain fast transfers.
