Chassis, connectors, HP 17-by3045nf screen
This relatively light 17-inch computer sports an elegant look thanks to its natural silver design with a painted base, vertical brushing pattern. It can be recharged to 50% in 45 minutes.
The connection integrated into this PC is correct except for the absence of a USB 3.1 Type-C port, regrettable in view of the positioning of this computer. The connectivity here integrated consists of a practical HDMI video output for easy connection to a TV or monitor, for example, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless modules for remote connections and communications, Ethernet ports and audio but also 3 USBs all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are plugged into it.
Some people will appreciate being able to read and burn CDs and DVDs with this PC equipped with an optical drive, a feature that has become rarer lately because of the dematerialization and finesse modes.
The keyboard, on the other hand, does not have a backlighting solution for the keys, which is sure to regret some.
The screen adopts classic characteristics with its resolution of 1600×900 and its 16: 9 format lending itself well to video playback. However, it is distinguished by its anti-reflective treatment making it more readable than a shiny panel in a bright environment (eg outdoors) and less tiring for the eyes in the long run.
Performance, battery life of the HP 17-by3045nf
The HP 17-by3045nf is a 17-inch laptop computer designed for everyday general-purpose use.
In terms of graphics processing, we are dealing with the Intel Iris Plus Graphics G7 solution integrated into the processor we tested and the dedicated GeForce MX330 card. On-board NVIDIA Optimus technology automatically switches between the two in real time depending on the tasks performed.
Optimus favors as much as possible the Iris Plus G7 despite its modesty (however significantly higher than the Intel UHD 620) because it consumes little energy and thus favors autonomy compared to the GeForce MX330 which is certainly more greedy but in return more powerful.
The GeForce MX330 is activated by Optimus to perform graphics processing deemed too heavy for the Iris Plus G7. Thanks to the GeForce MX330, you can run games that are not too greedy on this PC as long as you agree to adjustments under the opus demanding in graphic resources to obtain good playability.
Obviously, whether with the integrated Iris Plus G7 or the GeForce MX330, you can watch photos and videos on this versatile computer.
Composed of a good amount of 8 GB RAM and a low-power Ice Lake Core i7-1065G7 processor , the heart of this computer delivers good overall performance capable of satisfying many users.

However, it should be borne in mind that to perform work requiring processor resources on a regular basis, it is better to opt for a PC based on a non-low consumption processor.
On the storage side, HP opts here for a 1000 GB hard drive which will interest those who wish to benefit from a large capacity. However, as it does not come with an SSD, the responsiveness of this PC is not boosted, but remains nevertheless very correct.
This computer displays a contained weight for a 17-inch, very comfortable format for mainly sedentary use (eg at home). As for its autonomy, bet on about 5 hours of battery operation in light use.
