Chassis, connectors, screen of the HP 250 G7 (8MH73EA)
All dressed in black, it sports a sober design.
The integrated connectivity is correct, including a practical HDMI video output to easily connect this PC to a monitor or a TV for example, wireless modules Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2 for remote connections and communications, audio ports and Ethernet as well as 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 ensuring transfers taking place up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are connected to it.
In addition, this light computer incorporates an optical unit while it tends to disappear with the modes of finesse and dematerialization. We can therefore read and burn CDs and DVDs with this PC.
Thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, the screen is more readable than a glossy screen in a bright environment (eg outside) and less tiring for the eyes over a long period. For the rest, it adopts classic specifications with its 16: 9 format suitable for playing videos and its definition of 1366×768.
Performance, autonomy of the HP 250 G7 (8MH73EA)
The HP 250 G7 (8MH73EA) is a 15 inch laptop designed for everyday use.
It has a good amount of RAM of 8 GB above average and very significant in multitasking, especially as it is associated with a processor showing its limits under software consuming a lot of CPU resources, the Core i3-7020U low consumption Kaby Lake.
This duo delivers good benefits in everyday use, such as in office automation and Internet surfing. Since it is not backed up by a dedicated graphics card, this lightweight computer is not designed for heavy graphics processing such as games. It nevertheless allows of course to view photos and videos thanks to the modest Intel HD 620 part integrated into the Core i3.
Thanks to its SSD storage, this black PC is significantly more fluid and responsive on a daily basis than if it had a simple hard drive. We take advantage of, for example, much faster start / stop and launch of applications.
Remember that an SSD is much faster than a hard drive but also more energy efficient, more robust and quieter. However, here the capacity of the on-board SSD is lower than the standard for hard disks.
We are still dealing with a 256 GB SSD sufficient for many uses. But if it turns out to be too fair, there is always the possibility of using an external storage unit like a USB 3.0 device to obtain fast transfers.
As for autonomy, bet on about 4 hours of battery operation in light use for this computer whose weight under the bar of 2 Kg facilitates transport.
