The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 is a new versatile laptop for professionals and gamers with a 16-inch 16:10 display up to 4K OLED DCI-P3 that runs Windows or Linux with an Intel Arc graphics Meteor Lake processor up to Core Ultra 9 185H, a graphics card up to GeForce RTX 4070 or NVIDIA RTX 3000, Dual PCIe 4.0 SSD storage up to 8TB, 2-factor biometric authentication, Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 7 be connectivity, all in a thin and light package. It is the first on the market to adopt CAMM2 RAM.

The Meteor Lake comes with a maximum of 64GB of soldered low-power RAM LPCAMM2 LPDDR5x 7467MHz of RAM.
It is the first model on the market to adopt the CAMM(2) standard.

There is also dual M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD storage for a maximum total capacity of 8 TB (2 x 4 TB).

This laptop includes Wi-Fi 7 be (2×2) or Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2), Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1, headphone/microphone combo audio, 1 USB 3.2 (Gen1), 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2), 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 and an SD Express 7.0 card reader.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 is announced with a 16-inch 16/10th screen with low blue light emission and very thin bezels, either IPS Full HD (1920×1200) 400cd/m² 100% sRGB anti-glare, or IPS 2.5K (2560×1600) 165Hz 500cd/m² 100% sRGB anti-glare, or OLED 4K (3840×2400) 400cd/m² 100% DCI-P3 HDR400 touch glossy.

Above the panel is a 5.0 megapixel webcam with microphone and infrared option allowing facial recognition and therefore biometric authentication through Windows Hello technology.
This is also exploited by the fingerprint reader inserted into the power button.

The webcam detects and warns of the presence of a human near the PC other than the user, and is equipped with Privacy Shutter technology to preserve privacy.

There are also 2 Dolby Atmos speakers, abacklit chiclet pedal and a dual pointing solution combining the classic touchpad with the rarest and more precise TrackPoint.

In addition, the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 features a dedicated NVIDIA Ada Lovelace ray tracing graphics card, either GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB GDDR6 or GeForce RTX 4070 8 GB GDDR6, or NVIDIA RTX 1000NVIDIA RTX 2000 or NVIDIA RTX 3000.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 is expected to start next May at $2169.
