The Asus ZenBook 14 UM425IA is a new compact 14-inch laptop built around an AMD Renoir processor up to the Octo Core Ryzen 7 offering a 22-hour battery life.

The Asus ZenBook 14 UM425IA is a new portable PC offering an announced autonomy of 22 hours under Windows 10 (Pro) with its 4-cell 67Whr Li-Polymer battery rechargeable to 60% in 49 minutes.

It is based on an AMD Renoir low energy consumption Hexa Core Ryzen 5 4500U (2.3 GHz) APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) processor with integrated Radeon Vega 6 or Octo Core Ryzen 7 4700U (2.0 GHz) graphics part with Radeon Vega 7 graphics solution.

This computer also incorporates 8/16 GB LPDDR4x 3733MHz of RAM (soldered) as well as M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD storage of 256/512 GB or 1 TB.

On the display side, it is equipped with a 14 inch IPS Full HD (1920×1080) anti-reflective screen with fine edges NanoEdge 4.65mm, or 250cd / m², or low consumption 1W 400cd / m².

The screen has an impact on the weight of this PC: 1.13 Kg with the 1W model, against 1.22 Kg for the other, the dimensions being the same: 319 x 210 x 14.3mm .

The new Asus ZenBook 14 UM425IA also benefits from a backlit chiclet keyboard (1.4mm stroke) and as an option from NumPad technology (NumberPad) where the touchpad can act as either a classic touchpad or a touchpad, and as needed.

Sound solution 2 Harman Kardon Sonic Master speakers and HD webcam with microphone are also included, as is an optional infrared webcam to authenticate by facial recognition using Windows Hello technology.

Connectors include a microSD card reader, Wi-Fi ax wireless modules (Intel Wi-Fi 6) and Bluetooth 5.0, an HDMI 2.0 video output, 1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2) . A good point because it is rare to find 2 USB-C, even less to the Gen2 standard (faster transfers). These USB-C can be used to charge a device or display content on an external 4K screen for example.

On the other hand, no Ethernet point (which is not abnormal for a 14 inch) and especially an audio port. However as an option, the Asus ZenBook 14 UM425IA is provided with a USB-C to audio adapter, and USB to RJ-45 LAN Ethernet.

Asus does not communicate for the moment on the price or the release date of its Asus ZenBook 14 UM425IA expected in Pine Gray (dark silver) and Lilac Mist (light silver / mauve) designs , and this with ErgoLift hinge which raises it 3 ° forward when opened to improve cooling and sound quality.
In addition, this PC is intended to be robust with its compliance with the American military resistance standard MIL-STD-810G .

However, according to our information, it will be available for the start of the school year (marketing end of July / August) for around 800 euros with Ryzen 5, 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD.
