Thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, the screen is less tiring for the eyes over a long period of time than a bright, more readable panel in a bright environment (eg outside). The Asus X409UA-BV208T is a responsive and lightweight laptop for everyday use.
In this field as in office automation and surfing on Internet as well as in multitasking not too pushed, this light computer delivers good services. It is in fact built around 4 GB of RAM and a Kaby Lake low-consumption Core i3-7020U processor.
The latter shows its limits under software that requires CPU resources. Note that as a RAM slot is free, we can add a DDR4 module to be more comfortable in multitasking.
As no dedicated graphics card is on board here, this laptop is not designed for gaming and more generally demanding graphics work. It still allows you to view photos and videos of course, thanks to the modest benefits of the Intel HD 620 part integrated into the Core i3.
On a daily basis, the integrated SSD storage clearly reinforces the responsiveness of this PC compared to a simple hard drive. We thus benefit for example thanks to the SSD of application launches and much faster starts / stops.
It must be said that an SSD is much faster than a hard drive but also less energy-consuming, more robust and quieter.
Here, we find more precisely a 256 GB SSD, capacity lower than the standard of hard disks certainly but sufficient for a number of uses. However, if this proves to be too fair, we can always rely on an external storage unit. Favoring a USB 3.0 device then represents an interesting solution for obtaining fast transfers.
As for the autonomy of this computer whose transport is facilitated by the weight less than 2 Kg (without making it as easy as an Ultrabook), count on about 5 hours of battery operation in light use.
