Chassis, connectors, screen of the HP 17-cn0461nf
It features a discreet design with its thin and light Jet Black design.
This versatile laptop PC is equipped with good connectivity consisting of 1 USB-C, wireless Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5 modules for remote connections and communications, a useful HDMI video output to connect it easily to a monitor or a TV for example, Ethernet and audio ports but also 3 USB, USB 3.0 (compatible with USB 2.0) guaranteeing transfers taking place up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if the USB 3.0 peripherals are plugged into it.
Thanks to its anti-reflective coating, the screen is more readable in a bright environment (eg outdoors) than a shiny panel while being less tiring for the eyes in prolonged use. For the rest, it adopts classic specifications such as a 16: 9 format suitable for playing videos as well as a resolution of 1600×900.
Performance, battery life of the HP 17-cn0461nf
The HP 17-cn0461nf is a relatively thin and light large-format laptop computer designed for everyday general-purpose use.
It delivers good performance in everyday use, such as in office automation and surfing the Internet, because it incorporates a good amount of 8 GB RAM which is very appreciable in multitasking associated with a low-power Intel Core i3-1115G4 Tiger Lake processor.
In addition, the latter houses the Intel G4, a graphics solution whose performance is superior to those of the Intel UHD 620. This implies for the user the possibility of viewing photos and videos but also of playing titles. not very greedy in graphic resources.
In any case, it should be borne in mind that the Core i3 shows its limits in applications requiring processor resources, like the AMD Ryzen 3 and of course less powerful processors.
On the storage side, HP has chosen an SSD whose capacity of 256 GB is less than half the standard for hard drives. But compared to these, let us underline the advantages of an SSD: greater robustness, silence of operation, greater resistance to shocks and greater velocity.
In practice, thanks to the SSD, responsiveness is much better on a daily basis than with a hard drive and starts / stops as well as software launches are much faster, and we get faster on the cards of online games.
While 256 GB may be sufficient to accommodate small and / or small software and files, this capacity may be too tight for some. In this case, however, it is possible to use an external storage unit. Opting for a USB-C / USB 3.0 device then represents an interesting solution to benefit from fast transfers.
Thanks to its controlled weight and its finesse, this Ultrabook sees its transport facilitated for a 17-inch, large format which is however not the most easily transportable that is. But it offers the advantage of being particularly comfortable for mainly sedentary use (eg at home).
As for battery life, expect about 7 hours on battery in light use.
