Chassis, connectors, screen of Acer Aspire 3 A315-56-35F5
With its blue design, this thin and light Ultrabook has an original look.
It has a correct connection composed of an HDMI video output useful for easily connecting it to a TV or a monitor for example, Ethernet and audio ports, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless modules for connections and remote communications but also 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 ensuring transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect a USB 3.0 device. We can however regret the absence of USB 3.1 Type-C, but difficult to really hold it against this PC at this price level.
The screen stands out for its anti-reflective treatment making it more readable than a shiny screen in a bright environment (ex: outdoor) and less tiring for the eyes in the long run. For the rest, it adopts classic specifications with its 16 / 9th format suitable for playing videos and its definition of 1366×768.
BluelightShield technology is also on hand to attenuate the blue light emitted by the screen.
Performance, autonomy of the Acer Aspire 3 A315-56-35F5
The Acer Aspire 3 A315-56-35F5 is a compact 15-inch laptop designed for everyday use.
In this area as in office automation and surfing on the Internet, this Ultrabook delivers good benefits because it is structured around a good amount of 8 GB RAM very useful in multitasking and a Core i3-1005G1 processor Turbo low consumption Ice Lake. As a reminder, a Core i3 Turbo is significantly more efficient than a non-Turbo Core i3 (Core i3-7xxxU and earlier).
However, keep in mind that the Core i3 shows its limits under software consuming a lot of CPU resources. In any case with this thin and light PC, you can also watch photos and videos of course. But it is not designed for demanding graphics work like games since it does not have a dedicated graphics card.
On-board storage is clearly an asset for this Ultrabook with an original blue design. It is entrusted to a silent SSD while being less energy-consuming than a hard drive, more robust but also much faster.
Concretely thanks to the SSD, we benefit from a much more reactive and fluid operation on a daily basis than with a hard drive. We get for example software launches but also much faster starts / stops.
As for the autonomy of this Ultrabook whose finesse and controlled weight facilitate transport, expect about 5 hours on battery in light use.
