With its fine light silver design, this large format laptop sports a sleek and discreet appearance.
The connectivity integrated into this computer is correct but we regret the absence of USB-C port and that the Wi-Fi is not the Wi-Fi ax standard. There are Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2 modules to connect and communicate remotely wirelessly, a convenient HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, Ethernet and audio ports but also 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are plugged in top.
The screen is treated bright. As a result, it revives colors but is sensitive to reflections in bright environments (eg exterior). In fact, the screen adopts specifications that could not be more classic for a 17-inch with its definition of 1600×900 and its 16/9th format lending itself well to the playback of videos.
Performance, battery life of the Acer Aspire 3 A317-53-50ZT
The Acer Aspire 3 A317-53-50ZT is a large format laptop designed for common versatile use.
It delivers good overall performance to suit many users because it integrates 8 GB of RAM associated with a low-power Intel Tiger Lake Quad Core i5-1135G7 processor.
In addition, the latter is home to theIris Xe (tested by us),a graphics solution whose performance is significantly higher than that of the classic Intel UHD 620.
Thanks to the Iris Xe, you can watch photos and videos but also run games that are not too demanding in 3D resources.
On the storage side, there is a silent SSD but also more robust than a hard disk, less energy-consuming, silent and much faster.
Concretely thanks to the SSD, we benefit from starts/stops, software launches and processing much faster than with a simple hard disk, or a faster arrival on the cards of online games. In general, the SSD ensures a much better fluidity and responsiveness on a daily basis.
Here we are more precisely dealing with a 512 GB SSD, capacity in line with the standard of hard drives. However, if additional capacity is needed, you can use an external storage unit such as a USB 3.0 device for fast transfers.
As for the autonomy, count on about 5 hours of operation on battery in light use for this computer certainly thin but which is not the most easily transportable because of its large format. However, it is comfortable for mainly sedentary use (e.g. at home).
