Chassis, connectors, Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-52SK display
It has a sober and elegant design with a black brushed metal finish. Acer Bluelight Shield technology reduces the blue light emitted by the screen.
This Ultrabook has a good connection consisting of 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, Wi-Fi wireless ac modules and Bluetooth 5.0 for remote connections and communications, a convenient HDMI video output for easy connection to a TV or a monitor for example, Ethernet and audio ports or even 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect USB 3.0 devices.
A backlight system equips the keyboard chiclet which is very convenient to distinguish its keys when the ambient light is limited, a feature appreciable at this price.
This is also the case of the fingerprint reader to identify quickly and easily on the system via Windows Hello technology.
The screen will appeal to many users with its IPS technology that makes colors more accurate than average and both vertical and horizontal viewing angles are important. With its precise definition Full HD, the screen lends itself well to the display of High Definition contents and in particular the videos by its format 16 / 9ème. Thanks to its antireflection treatment, it also offers better visibility than a bright slab in a bright environment (ex: outdoor).
Performance, battery life of the Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-52SK
The Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-52SK is a 15-inch high-definition compact notebook for everyday mobile use.
It can indeed hold about 7:30 on battery in light use which will allure more nomads that its weight is less than 2 kg and its thin thickness, which facilitates its transport.
This Ultrabook delivers good overall performance able to satisfy many users. It takes advantage of a processor Quad Core i5-8265U Whiskey Lake latest generation coupled with 8 GB of RAM significant multitasking.
In addition, this thin and light computer is very responsive everyday, especially thanks to its SSD storage. Remember that a SSD is much faster than a hard drive but also more resistant to shocks, less energy and silent.

In practice thanks to the SSD, we obtain a significantly more fluid and responsive operation than with a hard disk, as well as start / stop and software launches much faster.
However for most notebook PCs with built-in SSDs, the proposed capacity is lower than standard hard drives. This is also the case here, but we still have 256 GB sufficient for many uses. However, if this is too true, you can always use an external storage unit as a USB 3.0 device to enjoy fast transfers.
As no dedicated GPU is shipped, this Ultrabook is not suitable for games and more generally for heavy graphics. It allows nevertheless of course to look at photos and videos thanks to the (modest) performances of the part Intel UHD 620 integrated in the Quad Core i5 which manages all the graphics.
