Chassis, connectors, screen of Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-59Q6
With its fine black chassis in brushed metal finish, it sports a sober and elegant design.
This Ultrabook has a good connection consisting of 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, a practical HDMI video output for easy connection to a TV or a monitor for example, wireless Wi-Fi ax modules ( newer and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.0 for remote connections and communications, Ethernet and audio ports as well as 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 ensuring transfers taking place up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are connected to it.
As a biometric reader is integrated, we can authenticate on the system by fingerprint recognition, and this via Windows Hello technology.
A backlight system also equips the chiclet keyboard, which is very practical for distinguishing its keys in dim light.
As it adopts a 16: 9 format that lends itself well to playing videos and a precise Full HD definition, the screen of this thin and light PC lends itself very well to displaying videos and more generally to High Definition content. Anti-reflective, the screen also offers better visibility in a bright environment (eg outside) than a shiny screen.
The integrated Acer Bluelight Shield technology is also there to reduce the blue light emitted by the screen.
Performances, autonomy of Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-59Q6
The Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-59Q6 is a compact 15-inch High Definition laptop designed for everyday mobile use.
Side autonomy, count on indeed about 7 hours of battery operation in light use for this Ultrabook whose weight and finesse facilitate transport.
It must be said that it relies on energy efficient components like its Quad Core i5-10210U Comet Lake processor low consumption. Combined with the good amount of 8 GB RAM, which is very appreciable in multitasking, the Core i5-10210U delivers good general performance capable of satisfying many users.
To carry out demanding work in processor resources, it is better however to turn to a PC based on a processor not low consumption.
In addition this Ultrabook is not suitable for gaming and more generally for heavy graphics work because it ignores a dedicated graphics card. It still allows you to view photos and videos thanks to the modest Intel UHD 620 graphics part integrated into the Quad Core i5.
As for storage, it is entrusted to a silent SSD but also more robust, more energy efficient and much faster than a hard drive.
In practice thanks to the SSD, this Ultrabook is clearly more fluid and responsive than if it were equipped with a simple hard drive. This results in particular in much faster software launches and starts / stops.

Here, we find more precisely a 256 GB SSD, sufficient capacity for a number of uses but below the standard of hard disks.
If it turns out to be too fair, there is always the possibility of using an external storage unit like a USB 3.0 device to benefit from fast transfers.
