Chassis, connectors, screen of Acer Aspire 5 A515-55 (NX.HSLEF.002)
With its fine and light silver chassis, it sports a sober and elegant look.
It works under Windows 10S, a system that is more secure than classic Windows 10 because it only allows the installation of applications from the Windows Store. However, you can migrate from Windows 10S to Windows 10 classic .
This Ultrabook is well equipped in terms of connectivity with its USB 3.1 Type-C, its practical HDMI video output in order to easily connect it to a TV or a monitor for example, its wireless Wi-Fi ax modules ( newer and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.0 for remote connections and communications, its Ethernet and audio ports as well as its 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 ensuring transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are connected to it.
This computer takes advantage of Acer Bluelight Shield technology to reduce the blue light emitted by the screen. It adopts IPS technology and therefore has significant vertical and horizontal viewing angles. Its colorimetry is however average, lower than that of higher-end IPS panels. As it is anti-reflective, the screen is more readable than a glossy panel in a bright environment (eg outside). Thanks to its 16: 9 format and precise Full HD definition, the screen is suitable for playing videos and more generally for High Definition content.
Performance, battery life of Acer Aspire 5 A515-55 (NX.HSLEF.002)
The Acer Aspire 5 A515-55 (NX.HSLEF.002) is a 15 inch High Definition laptop for everyday mobile use.
Thanks to its controlled weight and compactness, this Ultrabook is quite easy to transport. In addition, autonomy can last about 6 hours of battery operation in light use.
To do this, it uses energy-efficient components such as its low-consumption Ice Lake Quad Core i5-1035G1 processor. Coupled with 8 GB of RAM, it delivers good general performance able to satisfy many users.
Dedicated graphics card point on board here, which reduces energy consumption. This thin and light PC is therefore not designed to play but obviously allows you to view photos and videos thanks to the Intel UHD 620, graphics solution integrated within the Core i5 Comet Lake.
This Ultrabook also benefits from an SSD storage which clearly reinforces reactivity and fluidity on a daily basis compared to a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, we benefit in particular from application launches and starts / stops much faster than with a hard drive.
Here, we find more precisely integrated a 256 GB SSD. It is thought to accommodate the system as well as the main software. Good point, it comes with a hard drive with a large capacity of 1000 GB to accommodate the rest.
