15 inches cheap and rather compact, the Acer Aspire 3 A315-22-49FX is indicated for everyday office automation. Installed in a black box goes everywhere, it combines a good total of RAM (8 GB of RAM) with a small Dual Core AMD A4 processor, sufficient for daily use (mail, web, youtube …) with a setting in images provided by a matte HD screen. The storage is substantial but does not induce very fast operation like the SSD does. In addition, the box requires some precautions for movement (cover).

The Acer Aspire A315-22-49FX favors the sobriety of an entirely matt black shell without any particular finish but the assembly is neat. The ensemble gains in elegance thanks to a refined silhouette (19.0 mm). Note also the presence of a numeric keypad, where more and more 15 inches prefer to remove it to compact the chassis. Unsurprisingly, the keyboard is not backlit and the touchpad is clickable, but the side borders around the screen are refined.
Around the screen, Acer has sought to slightly refine the borders but without being borderless, which does not detract from the charm of the PC. We discover a screen with basic specifications: a standard definition (1366 x 768 px) and the support of a TN panel leading to narrow viewing angles. Good point nonetheless, the Comfyview matt treatment will limit glare situations in a bright environment.
Now let’s talk about the connection which is satisfied with the minimum. On the program, an HDMI output, three USB ports, one of which is still limited to the 2.0 standard, and an SD card reader. No USB Type-C port or fingerprint reader provided. Note however that the wireless modules are recent (Wifi AC and Bluetooth 4.2) and that the PC also has a Gigabit Ethernet port for the wired connection.
Performance, battery life of the Acer Aspire 3 A315-22-49FX
At the heart of the laptop, we are dealing with a low power AMD A4-9120 Dual Core APU . This small processor delivers sufficient performance to run all common tasks (Internet surfing, office tools, video playback) as well as minimal editing.
Good point, the 8 GB RAM ensures comfortable and smooth multitasking.
This is all the more valuable as the PC does not have the chance to benefit from the liveliness of a dedicated SSD. Instead, it opts for a classic 1000 GB hard drive, providing enough space to house your entire game library. Note that an M.2 slot is apparently free to place an additional SSD if necessary and that two maintenance hatches open respectively on a RAM slot and on the hard drive (2.5 inches), it will therefore be necessary to open fully the shell to access the M.2 port.
The AMD Radeon R3 chipset integrated into the processor will take care of the graphics rendering, enough to support current use without the possibility of playing except facebook games.
Finally, autonomy should hardly flirt with 5 hours of Internet browsing with active Wifi, it is in the low average.
