Behind a design going everywhere, its balanced base favors reactivity with the presence of a good capacity SSD and a good total of RAM (8 GB), enough to support as it should the Dual Core i3 for the office. The images are ensured by a 15.6 inch Full HD mat screen, enough to reveal all your content in High Definition. The Acer Aspire A315-54K-30BA is aesthetically identical to its predecessor the Aspire A315-53 if we put aside a few subtleties of finish. In place of the brushed effect, the finish prefers even more sobriety with a matt and smooth surface. The chassis may well be made entirely of plastic, it is far from returning a “low-end” image and the whole gains in elegance thanks to a refined silhouette (19.9 mm). Note also the preserved presence of a numeric keypad, where more and more 15 inches prefer to delete it to compact the chassis.
Unsurprisingly, the keyboard is not backlit and the touchpad is clickable, but the chassis has the advantage of offering a maintenance hatch to upgrade storage and RAM.
The screen is a determining element here. It sports an extended Full HD definition (1920 x 1080 px) at the ideal display density to make the most of its High Definition content. In addition, its ComfyView mat slab will ensure good visibility in a light environment by limiting the appearance of reflections. As for the nature of the panel, it is the basic TN which produces narrow viewing angles and not very faithful colors, which is logical considering the range of the PC.
The sides of the case are equipped with connectors that could be described as honest even if the USB Type-C port and the card reader are shelved. There is an HDMI output and three USB ports including a USB 3.1. To encourage data transfers, Gigabit Ethernet and the Wifi AC and Bluetooth 4.2 modules are also part of the game.

Storage is the decisive element in this configuration since it is entrusted to a dedicated SSD of 512 GB which will visibly strengthen the overall reactivity of the system on a daily basis. Overall quieter, more resistant and efficient than a mechanical disk, it allows Windows to reach an ideal level of fluidity with short loading times and execution without latencies. What is more, its capacity is quite honest and can accommodate a good part of your toy library.
The heart of the Acer Aspire A315-54K-30BA does not leave indifferent either even if we could expect a more recent generation processor in early 2019. It is entrusted to a 6th generation Core i3-6006U (as a reminder , we are at the 10th gen in 2020). This processor is intended for an office operation targeting all the daily routine tasks (web browsing, Office pack, video playback, etc.) with only a very small field of action for occasional photo editing. On the other hand, the 8 GB of RAM is precious to give navigation a boost and an impression of “performance”, especially if you like multitasking.
Finally, be aware that the autonomy should not exceed 5 hours in Internet browsing with active Wifi, thereby limiting mobility.
