The Acer ConceptD 5 CN516-73G and Acer ConceptD 5 Pro CN516-73P are new Ultrabooks targeting demanding creative professionals running Windows 11 with a 16-inch OLED 4K DCI-P3 display, an Intel Alder Lake-H processor, an NVIDIA Ampere graphics card either GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or NVIDIA RTX A5500, PCIe 4.0 SSD storage or Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, all in a thin chassis for an announced autonomy of 11 hours.
The Acer ConceptD 5 CN516-73G is a new Ultrabook offering an announced battery life of 11 hours on Windows 11 (Pro) with its 4-cell Li-Ion battery 99.98Whr.
It weighs 2.4 Kg, measures 358.5 x 262.4 x 19.9mm and offers Wi-Fi 6E ax connectivity (Killer Wireless Wi-Fi 6E 1675s), Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI 2.1, audio combo Headphone / Micro, Gigabit Ethernet (Killer E3100G, 2.5G), 2 USB 3.2 and 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 as well as an SD 7.0 card reader.
This laptop for creators integrates an Intel Alder Lake processor and more precisely Alder Lake-H up to the Core i7-12700H (14 cores, 6P 2.3GHz, 8E 1.7 GHz) with Iris Xe graphics solution.
The Alder Lake-H is paired with 16/32GB LPDDR5 5200MHz of soldered RAM as well as dual M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage configurable in RAID 0 for a total maximum capacity of 2TB.
An NVIDIA Ampere ray tracing graphics card is also embedded, up to the geForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GDDR6 dedicated.
The display is entrusted to a 16-inch 16/10th IPS 3K (3072×1920) ComfyView 400cd/m² anti-glare screen 100% DCI-P3 or OLED 4K (3840×2400) 400cd/m² 100% DCI-P3 Pantone HDR Delta E<2.
Above we find an HD webcam with microphone. It comes with Acer TrueHarmony DTS X:Ultra speakers as well as a backlit chiclet keyboard (1.55mm stroke) but without a numeric keypad while this feature is standard from 15 inches.
2 special keys are in any case proposed: ConceptD which opens the Color Picker window and Swapping Apps to switch from the current window to the previous one.
The set is cooled by 3 fans ensuring a maximum noise level of 40dBA, heat pipes and air vents strategically placed to generate an aerodynamic vortex.
A fingerprint reader is also present to authenticate biometrically via Windows Hello technology.
The Acer ConceptD 5 CN516-73G will be available from June from 2399 euros.
The Acer ConceptD 5 Pro CN516-73P edition expected for September 2022 is more expensive, with a starting price of 2599 euros.
It stands out for its professional NVIDIA Ampere graphics card either NVIDIA RTX A3000 12 GB GDDR6, or NVIDIA RTX A5500 16 GB GDDR6.
