The Acer Swift 3 SF314-51-51MJ is a compact notebook designed for everyday mobile use.
Its compactness and weight content facilitate its transport, which is even more interesting that it can take about 6 hours on battery surfing on the Internet via Wi-Fi, and of course in lighter use.
The anti-reflective treatment of its screen is therefore particularly significant because it is more legible in a bright environment (eg outside) than bright but also less tiring for the eyes in the long run. For the rest, the screen adopts conventional specifications, namely a definition of 1366×768 and a 16 / 9th format suitable for playing videos.
Thanks to the Intel HD 620 graphic part integrated into the processor, you can of course view photos and videos on this Ultrabook which is not suitable for the game: it is indeed devoid of a dedicated GPU.
Equipped with a Kaby Lake low-power Core i5-7200U processor and 8GB of RAM that can be used in multitasking, this computer nevertheless delivers good overall performance, especially as it benefits from SSD storage.
The presence of an SSD guarantees a significantly more responsive and fluid operation on a daily basis than with a hard disk. Compared to the latter, remember that a SSD is much faster but also more robust, more energy efficient and quiet.
However, as is often the case with embedded SSDs, the capacity is lower than the standard of hard drives. In the case where the 256 GB offered here would be correct, we can of course rely on an external storage unit as a USB 3.0 device because we will benefit from transfers taking place up to 10 times faster than in USB 2.0.
Onboard connectivity is made up of 2 USB compatible USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 including 1 USB 3.0 as well as 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, wireless modules Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.0 for connections and communications remote, 1 audio port or 1 HDMI video output very useful if you plan to connect this Ultrabook to a monitor or TV for example.
In addition, a key backlight system equips the chiclet keyboard to distinguish them correctly when the ambient light is dim. In addition, you can easily identify yourself on the OS with the Windows Hello compatible fingerprint reader.
