The Acer TravelMate P2510-M-386X is a 15-inch notebook designed for everyday business use.
It runs under Windows 10 Pro, a more complete edition than Windows 10 classic with its security and network management tools such as BitLocker.
Professionals and more generally those who spend long hours in front of the screen will be delighted to deal with antireflective treatment at this level because it is less tiring for the eyes and more legible in bright environment (ex: outdoor). A good point since it should be able to take at least 6 hours on battery surfing on the Internet via Wi-Fi. For the rest, the screen adopts classic specifications with its definition of 1366×768 and its 16 / 9th format.
Thanks to the Intel HD 620 graphic part housed in the processor, it is of course possible to watch photos and videos on this computer, which is not intended for players, since it ignores a dedicated GPU.
Nevertheless, this laptop delivers good benefits in current use with its 8 GB of RAM in multitasking and its low-power processor Core i3-7100U Kaby Lake, which however shows its limits under CPU intensive software.
Good point, the very fast dedicated SSD storage helps make this computer significantly more fluid and responsive than if you were dealing with a hard drive. Remember that in comparison with a hard drive, a SSD is much faster but also less energy, more robust and quiet.
As often however the capacity of the onboard SSD is lower than the standard of the hard disks. If the 256 GB offered here are quite sufficient for common use as long as we do not multiply heavy files (eg videos), those for whom it is too fair can rely on a storage unit external. Opting for a USB 3.0 device is an interesting option because it takes advantage of transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0.
Onboard connectivity includes just 3 USB all compatible both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 including 1 USB 3.0 but also 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, audio and Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi ac wireless modules and Bluetooth 4.2 for Remote connections and communications as well as convenient HDMI and VGA video outputs to easily connect this PC to a monitor or TV for example.
