Asus launches its ROG Strix Scar II GL504GS-ES062T, a powerful 15-inch IPS Full HD 144Hz multi-purpose notebook with anti-glare targeting players running on Windows 10. It includes a high-end dedicated NVIDIA Pascal graphics card associated with the Optimus technology, a last generation Hexa Core i7 Coffee Lake processor, a good amount of RAM, a hybrid storage solution marrying dedicated SSD and hybrid hard drive, a backlit chiclet keyboard or a USB 3.1 Type-C connection. It appears at less than 2200 euros .
With its black brushed metal finish and Asus RoG logo, it sports a relatively simple and elegant gamer design.
It has Overboost technology that can be activated via the Fn F5 key combination to switch between Silent mode (35 dB max), Balance (45 dB max) and Gaming (50 dB max)
Cooling side, it adopts HyperCool Pro technology combining 2 fans of 12V (against 5V usually) finned 0.1mm a heat pipe system and anti-dust Anti Dust Cooling system.

The Asus ROG Strix Scar II GL504GS-ES062T can appeal to those who intend to invest in a versatile laptop 15-inch powerful, especially in games.
Thanks to its high-end GeForce GTX 1070 dedicated card, one of the most powerful cards of the moment, it is able to run at a good level of detail the most recent games and greedy graphic resources.
In practice, the GeForce GTX 1070 is enabled by embedded NVIDIA Optimus technology to perform graphics processing deemed too heavy for the Intel UHD 630 processor-integrated solution. Despite its modest benefits, the latter is indeed maximized by Optimus because it consumes more energy and promotes autonomy. In fact, Optimus switches automatically and in real time between the Intel UHD 630 and the GeForce GTX 1070, both of which allow you to watch photos and videos.
With its 16 / 9th format and its Full HD definition ideal for displaying High Definition content, the screen lends itself well to this use especially as it is in parallel equipped with IPS technology. It reproduces the colors more faithfully than the average while ensuring very comfortable vertical and horizontal viewing angles. Anti-reflective coating, the screen also offers better visibility in bright environment (eg outside) a glossy slab. In addition, to seduce the players, it is adorned with a refresh rate of 144Hz (against 60Hz as standard) to enhance fluidity in games.
Storage space and responsiveness are two important elements for players. Asus has taken this into account by integrating into this notebook a very fast dedicated SSD of 256 GB to house the system as well as the main games / software, the rest being able to take place on the hybrid hard drive of 1000 GB which accompanies it.
Built around a dedicated SSD, but also a latest generation Coffee Lake Hexa Core i7-8750H processor and 16GB of RAM, this computer is able to fill demanding users in terms of overall power.
Concretely, we obtain a much more fluid and fast operation than with a PC based on a Quad Core processor low consumption or classic Dual Core, or even a classic Quad Core under the CPU and RAM intensive work exploiting multicores like retouching photo, 3D rendering or video editing.

Finally, it is of course possible to backlight the keys of the chiclet keyboard, here using a 4-zone RGB solution, in order to discern correctly in the dim light.
