Chassis, connectors, screen of the Asus VivoBook 15 X513EA-EJ3155W
With its thin and light dark Bespoke Black design, it sports a discreet appearance.
This versatile laptop has a correct connectivity with its USB-C, its Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 modules for wireless remote connections and communications, its useful HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, its audio port without forgetting its 3 USB all compatible USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guarantees transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if plugged in.
Too bad, however, that wireless connectivity is not more recent (Wi-Fi ax and Bluetooth 5) and that the chiclet keyboard is – a priori – devoid of backlight solution.
In any case, fans of High Definition content such as videos will appreciate that the screen adopts a Full HD definition associated with a 16/9th format. In addition, thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, the screen is more readable than a shiny slab in a bright environment (e.g. outside), which is appreciable.
Performance, battery life of the Asus VivoBook 15 X513EA-EJ3155W
The Asus VivoBook 15 X513EA-EJ3155W is a thin and light 15-inch High Definition laptop designed for common versatile use.
Many users will be satisfied with the overall performance delivered by this thin and light laptop as it is built around a low-power Intel Tiger Lake Quad Core i5-1135G7 processor and 8 GB of RAM.
In addition, thanks to the Intel Iris Xe graphics solution (which we tested), it is possible to watch photos and videos but also to play modest titles.
SSD storage clearly enhances responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis compared to a simple hard drive. Because it is much faster. An SSD offers other advantages, because it is also less energy-intensive, more robust and quiet.
As a result, the SSD ensures much faster starts/stops, processing and application launches or a faster arrival on the cards of online games.
We find here without much surprise a SSD of 512 GB, capacity similar to what the hard disks offer as standard. However, in the event that more space is needed, you can use an external storage unit such as a USB 3.0/USB-C device to enjoy fast transfers.
As for the autonomy, count on about 6 hours on battery in light use for this discreet Ultrabook whose transport is facilitated by the lightness and the finesse.
