Chassis, connectors, screen of the Asus VivoBook R515EA-BQ2123W
It sports a sober and elegant design with its thin and light silver chassis.
This versatile Ultrabook is equipped with good connectivity consisting of 1 USB-C, a convenient HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 modules for wireless remote connections and communications, an audio port or 3 USB all compatible USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guarantees transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you plug in a USB 3.0 device.
The screen is adorned with a precise Full HD definition associated with a 16/9th format, which will interest those who like to display High Definition content such as videos. Many will also appreciate the significant vertical and horizontal viewing angles provided by IPS technology. It should be noted, however, that here, logically with regard to the positioning of this PC, the colorimetry is classic, lower than that of more high-end IPS panels. Thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, the screen is also more readable than a shiny slab in bright environments (e.g. outside).
Performance, battery life of the Asus VivoBook R515EA-BQ2123W
The Asus VivoBook R515EA-BQ2123W is a thin and light 15-inch High Definition laptop intended for common versatile use.
It benefits from a silent SSD storage but also more robust than a hard disk, less energy consuming and much faster.
Consequences? The SSD clearly enhances responsiveness and fluidity in everyday life compared to a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, the starts/stops and launches of applications are much faster for example, and we reach faster on the cards of online games.
Because despite the absence of a dedicated graphics card on board, you can watch photos and videos but also play light titles. And this thanks to the Intel UHD G4 solution integrated into the processor.
This one is a low-power Intel Tiger Lake Core i3-1115G4. Combined with a good amount of RAM of 8 GB appreciable in multitasking, it delivers good performance in common use, such as surfing the Internet and office automation.
Note, however, that like the AMD Ryzen 3 and less powerful processors of course, this Core i3 reveals its limits under CPU-intensive software.
And on the capacity side? The SSD offers 512 GB, which is the standard for hard drives. However, if you need more space, you can use an external storage unit such as a USB-C/USB 3.0 device to get fast transfers.
As for the autonomy, count on about 5 hours on battery in light use for this Ultrabook whose contained weight and finesse facilitate transport.
