Chassis, connectors, screen of the Asus Vivobook R524JA
With its thin and light light silver design, this laptop sports a sober and elegant look.
It is equipped with a good connectivity composed of 1 USB-C, a convenient HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 wireless modules for remote connections and communications, an audio port or 3 USB compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guarantees transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect a USB 3.0 device to it.

The screen will appeal to fans of High Definition content such as videos because it adopts a precise Full HD definition higher than the 1366×768 standard as well as a 16/9th format. In addition, thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, the screen is also more readable than a shiny slab in bright environments (e.g. outdoors).
Performance, battery life of the Asus Vivobook R524JA
The Asus Vivobook R524JA is a thin and light 15-inch High Definition laptop intended for everyday use.
In this area, as in office automation and Internet surfing, it delivers good performance because it is built around a low-power Intel Ice Lake Core i3-1005G1 processor and a good amount of RAM of 8 GB very useful in multitasking.
No dedicated graphics card here embedded in all logic with regard to the positioning of this PC thanks to which we can still watch photos and videos via the Intel UHD 620 solution integrated into the Core i3.
Keep in mind, however, that the latter shows its limits under CPU-intensive software, such as AMD Ryzen 3 and less powerful processors of course.
On the storage side, there is an SSD that clearly reinforces responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis compared to a simple hard disk. Because an SSD is silent but also less energy-consuming, more robust and much faster.
In practice, the SSD ensures much faster starts/stops and launches of applications than a hard disk for example.
With its 256 GB, the SSD offers a capacity less than half the standard of hard drives, enough to install / store software / files light and / or few.

Of course in case you need more space, you can use an external storage unit. Favoring a USB-C/USB 3.0 device is then an interesting solution to obtain fast transfers.
As for the autonomy of this Ultrabook whose finesse and controlled weight facilitate transport, bet on about 5 hours of operation on battery in light use.
