With its white shell and silver interior, this thin and light versatile Ultrabook cooled by 2 fans has an elegant and discreet look.
It is equipped with a good connection including 1 USB-C, Wi-Fi ax modules ( more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless remote connections and communications, an HDMI video output practical for easily connecting it to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port but also 3 USBs all compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if a USB 3.0 device is plugged into it.
Too bad, however, to note the absence of Thunderbolt 4 while it is natively supported by Tiger Lake processors.
In any case, the chiclet keyboard can be backlit, which is very practical for distinguishing its keys in the event of limited ambient light.
While it does not have the place to accommodate a numeric keypad on the right like any portable PC with a format less than 15 inches, this Ultrabook is seen here equipped with Asus\’ NumPad technology. Thanks to NumberPad 2.0, when you need it, you can transform the touchpad into a touch-sensitive numeric keypad to make it easier to enter numbers.
Thanks to its IPS technology, the screen has large horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Its colorimetry is however standard, below that of more high-end IPS panels. Thanks to its precise Full HD definition and its 16: 9 format, the screen is in any case very suitable for displaying High Definition content such as videos. Its anti-reflective coating also makes it more readable in a bright environment (eg outdoors) than a shiny panel.

The Asus VivoBook S14 S413EA-EB426T is a compact High Definition laptop designed for everyday general-purpose use.
It has a good amount of RAM 16 GB above the average very useful in multitasking. It is coupled with a Tiger Lake low power i5-1135G7 Quad Core processor. This duo delivers good general performance able to satisfy a number of users.
In addition, the Intel Iris Xe graphics solution (tested by us) integrated into the Quad Core i5 proves to be significantly more efficient than the conventional Intel UHD 620.
In practice, thanks to the Iris Xe, you can watch photos and videos but also run games that do not require too much 3D resources.
But you should be aware that if you often want to perform work that requires processor and / or graphics resources, you should rather turn to a PC with a non-low-power processor and / or an appropriate dedicated graphics card.
On the storage side, we are dealing with a 512 GB SSD, a capacity similar to the standard of hard drives. But if more space is needed, an external storage unit like a USB-C / USB 3.0 device can be used for fast transfers.
In any case on a daily basis thanks to the SSD, we take advantage of much faster starts / stops as well as the processing and launching of software, or even a faster arrival on the cards of online games. More generally, the SSD guarantees much better fluidity and responsiveness than a simple hard drive.
As for the battery life of this versatile Ultrabook whose transport is facilitated by the controlled weight, compactness and finesse, expect about 6 hours of battery operation in light use.
