This Ultrabook is well equipped in terms of connectivity. We find integrated 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, Wi-Fi ax wireless modules ( more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.0 for remote connections and communications, a practical HDMI video output for easily connect to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port or even 3 USBs all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers taking place up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if a USB 3.0 device is plugged into it.
The chiclet keyboard has a practical backlighting system for the keys to distinguish them correctly in the event of reduced ambient light.
Thanks to its IPS technology, the screen offers significant viewing angles, both horizontal and vertical. Its colorimetry is however average, lower than that of more high-end IPS panels. The screen lends itself in any case well to the display of High Definition content and in particular videos due to its precise Full HD definition and its 16: 9 format. With its anti-reflective coating, the screen also provides better visibility in a bright environment (eg outdoors) than a shiny panel.
Performance, battery life of Asus VivoBook S15 S533FA-BQ014T
The Asus VivoBook S15 S533FA-BQ014T is a 15-inch High Definition laptop PC intended for general use.
As it relies on a low power Comet Lake i7-10510U Quad Core processor and a good amount of 8 GB RAM, this Ultrabook delivers good overall performance able to satisfy many users.
It benefits from enhanced responsiveness thanks to its dedicated SSD storage, which is greater than if it had been equipped with a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, we obtain much faster starts / stops and launches of applications for example.
An SSD is indeed much faster than a hard drive but also more robust, less energy-consuming and silent. It offers here a capacity of 512 GB in phase with the standard of hard disks.
But if you need more space, you can obviously rely on an external storage unit. Opting for a USB 3.0 device then represents an interesting solution to benefit from fast transfers.
As this Ultrabook does not ship a dedicated graphics card, it is not designed for heavy graphics work like gaming. This thin and light laptop nevertheless allows you to watch photos and videos thanks to the modest features of the Intel UHD 620 solution integrated into the Quad Core i7.
As for autonomy, bet on about 6 hours of battery operation in light use for this Ultrabook whose transport is facilitated by the controlled weight and finesse.
