It has an original design with a brushed silver metal finish and red contours.
It benefits from Eye Care technology to reduce the blue light emitted by the screen by up to 30% and can be recharged 60% in 49 minutes.
The Asus VivoBook S430UA-EB236T is a high definition compact notebook designed for everyday mobile use.
Side autonomy, it should be able to hold at least 7 hours on battery in light use. In any case, its compactness and controlled weight facilitate its transport.
It is therefore particularly appreciated that the screen is anti-reflective treatment because it is more legible than a bright slab in bright environment (ex: outside). The screen adopts a precise Full HD definition and is thus well adapted to High Definition content such as videos by its 16 / 9th format.
Thanks to the Intel UHD 620 graphic part integrated into the processor, we can obviously look at photos and videos on this Ultrabook. Heavy 3D treatments, however, are not the cup of tea of this Ultrabook who skips a dedicated GPU.
It still has a processor delivering performance that can satisfy many users: a Quad Core i5-8250U Kaby Lake Refresh low consumption. It guarantees faster processing than a low-power Dual Core i5 / i7 under software exploiting multicore architecture.
Here the Quad i5 is paired with a standard 4GB RAM that will show its limits in multitasking pushed. Good point, responsiveness is required with this Ultrabook because it has an Intel Optane module.
Admittedly, Optane can not be used for storage but provides comfort close to a SSD and therefore much faster and fluidity to use than if we were dealing with a simple hard drive.
A hard drive is also present to support the Intel Optane module and offers a large storage capacity with its 1000 GB.
As for the built-in connectivity, it is good, including 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi ac modules to communicate and connect wirelessly remotely, a convenient HDMI video output to easily connect this compact computer to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port not to mention 3 USB all compatible both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 including 1 USB 3.0 ensuring transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if one plugs on a USB 3.0 device.
