Chassis, connectors, screen of the Asus Vivobook S433EA-EB459T
It has an elegant and discreet look with its light silver frame and can be recharged to 60% in 49 minutes.
This Ultrabook is cooled by 2 IceBlades fans (87 thin 0.2mm crystal-liquid polymer blades) as well as ventilation grilles, and also offers 3 operating modes: Performance (power), Balanced (balanced) and Whisper (silent) , thrifty).
The connectivity integrated into this thin and light laptop PC is good, composed of 1 USB-C, Wi-Fi ax modules ( more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.0 for connections and remote communications without -wired, a practical HDMI video output for easy connection to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port as well as 3 USBs all compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 guaranteeing s transfers ‘performing up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 when connecting a USB 3.0 device.
A backlighting system is fitted to the chiclet keyboard, which is very practical for distinguishing them correctly in a reduced light environment. Note that the Enter key is outlined in yellow to bring a touch of originality.
Like any laptop whose format is less than 15 inches, the keyboard does not come with a numeric keypad on the right for lack of space.
But to make it easier to enter numbers, Asus has the good idea to provide this PC with its NumberPad (NumPad) technology. Thus, you can transform the touchpad into a touchscreen numeric keypad when you need it.
Thanks to its IPS technology, the screen has significant vertical and horizontal viewing angles. On the other hand, its colorimetry is average, below that of the more high-end IPS panels. In any case, thanks to its precise Full HD definition and its 16: 9 format, the screen lends itself well to the display of High Definition content such as videos. As it is anti-reflective, the screen is also more readable than a shiny panel in a bright environment (eg outdoors).
Performance, autonomy of Asus Vivobook S433EA-EB459T
The Asus Vivobook S433EA-EB459T is a compact 14-inch High Definition laptop designed for everyday versatile use on the go.
The general performance it delivers is able to satisfy many users because it is built around a good amount of 16 GB RAM above average as well as a low power Tiger Lake i7-1165G7 Quad Core processor.
However, it should be borne in mind that if the objective is to often perform graphics work heavy in processor resources, it is better to turn to a PC with a non-low consumption processor.
The Core i7 Tiger Lake houses within it the Intel Iris Xe that we tested , a graphics solution that is significantly more efficient than the classic Intel UHD 620.
Therefore, while this thin and light laptop PC does not have a dedicated graphics card, it allows you to watch photos and videos but also to play titles that do not require too much graphic resources.
On the storage side, Asus has chosen a hybrid solution Intel Optane H10 tested by us . It combines a 512 GB SSD with a 32 GB Optane module.
Optane’s contribution is close to an SSD, but Optane cannot be used for storage or installation of software. If Optane is very appreciable associated with a hard drive, its presence is insignificant when paired with an SSD.
The fact remains that an SSD is silent, less energy-consuming, more robust and much faster.
Thanks to the SSD, we obtain application launches, starts / stops and treatments much faster than with a hard drive, or even a faster arrival on the cards of online games.
With its 512 GB capacity, the Optane H10 solution offers a capacity (limited to SSD) similar to the standard for hard disks.
But if you need more, you can obviously use an external storage unit. Favoring a USB 3./USB-C device then represents an interesting solution to benefit from fast transfers.
As for autonomy, bet on about 8 hours of battery operation in light use for this Ultrabook whose compactness, finesse and controlled weight make it easy to transport.
