Asus launches its new Asus X545 15 inch laptop, built around an Intel Comet Lake processor which has an optical unit and is available in Asus X545FA and Asus X545FB with dedicated graphics card.
The Asus X545 is a new laptop that weighs 1.9 Kg and measures 360 x 234 x 23mm and runs Windows 10 with its 2-cell 32Whr Li-Polymer battery which can be recharged to 60% in 49 minutes.
It is based on an Intel Comet Lake Dual Core i3-10110U (2.1 GHz), Quad Core i5-10210U (1.6 GHz) or Quad Core i7-10510U (1.8 GHz) processor, all with integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics solution.
The Comet Lake is associated with 4/8 GB DDR4 2666 MHz of welded RAM, 1 RAM slot being free.
On the storage side, there are 2 slots: 1 in 2.5 inch format for 500 GB hard drive or 1 TB at 5400 rpm, and 1 in M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD format for 128/256/512 GB SSD.
In addition, and it has become rare enough to be emphasized, the Asus X545 incorporates an optical unit to read and burn CDs and DVDs .
On the display side, it sports a 15.6-inch 45% NTSC anti-glare screen, either WXGA HD (1366×768), Full HD (1920×1080) or IPS Full HD .
Also included are 2 2W speakers, a VGA webcam with microphone, a microSD card reader and a chiclet keyboard (1.4mm stroke) with numeric keypad and backlighting option for the keys. As an option, a biometric reader is provided to authenticate on the system by fingerprint recognition via Windows Hello technology.
The Asus X545\’s connectors include Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 wireless modules, an HDMI video output, Gigabit Ethernet ports and Headphone / Mic combo audio, 2 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.0. USB 3.1 Type-C point therefore.
The new Asus X545 laptop, which promises to be Transparent Silver (light silver) and Slate Gray (anthracite), is available in Asus X545FA without graphics card and in Asus X545FB with entry-level NVIDIA Maxwell GeForce MX110 2 GB GDDR5 graphics card dedicated.
