This stylish gray ultrabook announces a small size (305 x 196 mm) and a borderless screen that marries the edges like never before. Its heart is powerful with its Core i7 quadricoeurs focused office and multimedia and the support of a precious dedicated SSD of good capacity (512 GB). The only criticisms, that the autonomy does not exceed 7 hours and that the screen lacks brightness.

Successor of the Asus Zenbook Flip UX360, the Flip UX362FA benefits from a real aesthetic redesign with an aluminum case much more manageable and comfortable to hold and a flawless quality finish. As announced above, it is probably one of the most compact 13-inch convertibles on the market. The borders around the screen are particularly thin, including the one below that makes the difference with other ultrabooks in its class, but without sacrificing ergonomics and features because there is enough room up for the micro and the webcam.
The aesthetic is more sober than the majority of Zenbook UX362FA marketed with a uniform gray color woke up by a few chrome details and a brushed transverse effect around the keyboard. It\’s happening everywhere and chic at the same time to blend in a professional environment. Note that the chassis meets the military resistance standard MIL-STD-810G for all-round durability (extreme heat, shock, drop, humidity, altitude, sun exposure).
The keyboard is backlit by white LEDs in three shades to perceive the pink lettering on the blue keys in the dark. It seems that this precise reference (UX362FA-EL274R) does not include NumPad, this LED keypad built into the touchpad.
The rotating screen, for its part, gives an interesting impression of immersion thanks to a screen occupancy ratio of 90% . The result is visible on all four sides with a special mention for the particularly fine lower edge. Asus also managed to keep the webcam up while not breaking the frame balance. With regard to the slab, the dense definition Full HD (1920 x 1080 px) allows to view content in High Definition under the best conditions. Another good point, it takes advantage of the wide viewing angles and the good colorimetry of the IPS panel.while the brilliant slab will inevitably produce some reflections in bright environment, it is the case on almost all convertibles at the moment (touch requires). A stylus is provided to work accurately.
Disposed on each side of the case, the connection is a little disappointing for a professional ultrabook. On the left, there are two USB Type-C ports , the power supply and HDMI 1.4 output while the right hosts a standard size USB port that only supports the USB 2.0 standard. The Thunderbolt 3 is not supported and there is no card reader.

The small profile of the notebook PC does not slow down its ambitions as it is powered by a 9th generation i7-8565U Quad Core processor (Whiskey Lake – 2019). This CPU substantially squeezes its predecessor (i7-8550U Kaby Lake Refresh) with a slightly higher Turbo Boost frequency. In use, you can work without limit on your current tasks (web browsing, Office processing, video) and practice in the most demanding applications, taking advantage of multicore architecture (video editing, Photoshop pushed, light Lightroom. ..). In addition, with 16 GB of RAM behind, the system benefits from an excellent level of fluidity in multitasking to navigate between tabs and applications without ever encountering latency.
Another fundamental element here, the storage is entrusted to a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD . This significantly enhances the overall responsiveness of the system on a daily basis. Based on a PCIe interface faster than SATA3, the SSD provides shortened load times, a virtually instantaneous Windows launch and very fast file copies. What\’s more, its capacity is quite honest and can host a good part of your toy library.
The lack of dedicated graphics card will not surprise anyone given the compactness of the PC but you can still rely on the Intel UHD 620 chip integrated into the processor to ensure a minimum of play. It is estimated at a GeForce MX110, which should allow some casual players to launch a few low-demanding titles in Full HD with great fluidity.
Let\’s end with a notion of autonomy. The battery is medium size (50Whr) and should offer the Zenbook Flip UX362FA-EL274R between 7 am and 7:30 am autonomy in Internet browsing with active WiFi.
