The Dynabook Portégé X40-K is a new blue Ultrabook targeting professionals that runs on Windows 11 with an Intel Alder Lake P processor, a 14-inch screen, SSD storage or connectivity with Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4.
The Dynabook Portégé X40-K is a new thin and light laptop that measures 323.6 x 220.6 x 17.3 mm and weighs 1.45 Kg.
It adopts an original blue blue aluminum Dark Tech blue design with scratch-resistant brushed metal finish and runs on Windows 11 Pro with a 53Whr battery.
This new Ultrabook is built around an Intel Alder Lake processor and more specifically Alder Lake-P Core i5-1240P (12 cores, 1.75 GHz, 4P/8E), Core i5-1250P vPro (12 cores, 1.7 GHz, 4P/8E), Core i7-1260P (12 cores, 2.1 GHz, 4P/8E), Core i7-1270P vPro (12 cores, 2.2 GHz, 4P/8E) or Core i7-1280P vPro (14 cores, 1.8 GHz, 6P/8E), all incorporating Intel Iris Xe graphics.
The Alder Lake-P is paired with a maximum RAM of 32GB DDR4 3200MHz (2 slots) as well as M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage with a capacity of up to 1TB.
Here the cooling is provided by 2 fans advertised as silent.
In addition, the Dynabook Portégé X40-K openable at 180 ° totally flat integrates Wi-Fi 6E ax connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.0, audio combo Headphone / Micro, Gigabit Ethernet, 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1, 1 chargeable), 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 or a microSD card reader.
This compact laptop entrusts its display to a 14-inch IPS Full HD (1920×1080) screen with multi-touch touch option, without being able to convert into a Tablet.
Robust with its compliance with the American military resistance standard MIL-STD-810H, this laptop also benefits from 2 DTS Audio speakers, a backlit chiclet keyboard but also a dual biometric authentication system via Windows Hello technology: fingerprint reader and infrared webcam with microphone allowing facial recognition.
The webcam benefits from Realtek’s AI audio solution for background noise reduction and correction of lighting and facial framing.
Dynabook tells us that its new Ultrabook Dynabook Portégé X40-K for professionals will be launched in May 2022 in France, with a base price of 1350 dollars.
