HP dusts its entry-level to which it brings a little compactness. As the first ambassador of this revival, the HP 15-dw0045nf arrives in the category of ultrabooks with a productive destination. Its Core i5 quad-core is the latest generation and it embeds what is needed of RAM to give him the answer with a hybrid storage of substantial capacity (1.2 TB, SSD 256 GB). The design is everywhere, the keyboard includes a keypad (but is not backlit) and the screen is trying to a borderless design but it offers only a basic definition. It’s a big drag.

If it does not change dramatically, the design of the HP 15-dw0045nf takes the right turns compared to its predecessor (15-da). With its fully silver frame and black screen frame (a little embossed), it is not without getting closer to the ranges above, Pavilion or Envy. The aesthetics remains very simple with smooth, matte surfaces awakened only by the chrome HP logo on the back of the lid. The interior is embellished with a brushed effect. The chassis is plastic, so be careful when traveling.
The keyboard is not backlit but has a keypad. Another peculiarity, the numeric keypad provides dedicated mouse buttons, which should cheer some.
At the format level, we see a little change. With 1.8 kg and 19.9 mm thickness , the PC wins on all levels compared to its predecessor and will not be against some moves.
We immediately chained to the black point of this PC, the screen. It is content with an HD definition (1366 x 768 px) and is based on a TN panel with narrow viewing angles and medium color. The only positive side comes from its anti-reflective treatment that improves the readability of the image in strong ambient light.
For its part, the connector receives a welcome update with the presence of two standard size 3.1 USB ports, a USB Type-C port , an HDMI output, a multi-format SD card reader and a headphone jack. Recent versions of WiFi modules AC and Bluetooth 4.2 are also on the menu and a RJ45 port (Ethernet Gigabit). No fingerprint reader, however.
Performance, autonomy of the HP 15-dw0045nf
The HP 15-dw0045nf provides the right answer to benefit a wide range of users. And for good reason, it is based on a processor Quad Core i5-8265U low consumption last generation (9th) helped here 8 GB of RAM . The hard drive of 1000 GB in addition is there to allow you to archive all of your toy library.
In the absence of a dedicated graphics card inside this ultrabook, the chip Intel UHD 620 integrated processor is alone to handle the treatment. It is estimated at the level of a GeForce 920M, which should allow some casual players to launch some titles with great fluidity.
Let’s end with the autonomy that must always deal with a small 41Whr battery. Understand that mobility will be a little hampered with 5 to 6 hours at best in Web browsing with active WiFi.
