Rechargeable 50% in 45 minutes, this thin laptop PC has an elegant and discreet look with its natural silver frame with anodized and sandblasted finish.
It is equipped with good connectivity including wireless Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi ax modules ( more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) to communicate and connect remotely wirelessly, an HDMI video output useful for Easily connect this computer to a TV for example, Ethernet and audio ports, 1 USB-C as well as 3 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB devices 3.0 are connected to it.
Too bad, however, to note the absence of Thunderbolt 4 while it is natively supported by Tiger Lake processors.
It is possible that a fingerprint reader is integrated to allow biometric authentication via Windows Hello technology, but this is to be confirmed.
In any case, a backlighting system is fitted to the chiclet keyboard, which is practical for distinguishing its keys in a dimly lit environment.
In addition, the webcam can be blocked, which helps protect privacy.
Thanks to its 100% sRGB and IPS specifications, the screen reproduces colors more faithfully than average while ensuring comfortable vertical and horizontal viewing angles. It also lends itself very well to the display of videos and more broadly of High Definition content thanks to its 16: 9 format and its precise Full HD definition. In addition, since it is covered with glass, its processing is brilliant. It therefore revives colors but is sensitive to reflections in a bright environment (eg outdoors).
Performance, battery life of the HP Envy 17-cg1022nf
The HP Envy 17-cg1022nf is for those looking for a sleek, large-format, relatively thin notebook PC for everyday general-purpose use.
It has SSD storage with a large capacity of 1 TB that rivals hard drives. It clearly reinforces the responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis compared to the latter, because an SSD is much faster while being more resistant to shocks, more energy efficient and silent.
Concretely, thanks to the SSD, we benefit from much faster starts / stops, processing and launches of software, or even a faster arrival on the cards of online games.
Because it is possible to play with this elegant silver laptop PC, and this in titles not too greedy in graphics resources because it embeds the dedicated GeForce MX450 NVIDIA Turing card and the Intel Iris Xe solution (which we tested ) integrated into the processor.
With one or the other, you can look at photos and videos of course. The second is favored as much as possible by the on-board NVIDIA Optimus technology because it is energy efficient which promotes battery life. In this regard, expect about 6 hours of battery operation in light use.
A little more efficient and greedy, the GeForce MX450 is called upon by Optimus to perform graphics work deemed too heavy for the Intel Iris Xe.
The Iris Xe is housed within the low power Intel Tiger Lake Quad Core i5-1135G7 processor. It\’s paired with a decent amount of above-average 16GB RAM.
The general performance delivered by this core is capable of satisfying many users.

However, if one often wishes to carry out heavy work in terms of processor and / or graphics resources, it is better to turn to a PC equipped with a non-low consumption processor and / or an appropriate GPU.
Finally, this laptop PC is thin which facilitates its transport, even if it is not the easiest because of its heavy weight and its large 17-inch format. However, the latter is particularly comfortable in the context of mainly sedentary use (eg at home).
