Chassis, connectors, screen of the HP Pavilion 14-dv0039nf
Rechargeable to 50% in 45 minutes, it features an elegant and discreet design with its steel gray aluminum frame with a sandblasted anodized finish.
This versatile Ultrabook is equipped with good connectivity including 1 USB-C, Wi-Fi ax wireless modules ( more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.0 for remote communications and connections, an output Practical HDMI video for easy connection to a TV or monitor for example, an audio port but also 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you plug in above USB 3.0 devices.
The chiclet keyboard can be backlit which is very useful for distinguishing its keys in case of limited ambient light.
For its part, the screen lends itself well to the display of High Definition content such as videos since it adopts a precise Full HD definition and a 16 / 9th format. As it is anti-reflective, the screen is also more readable in a bright environment (eg outdoors) than a shiny panel. In addition, its vertical and horizontal viewing angles are important thanks to its IPS technology which is however inferior to that of more high-end IPS panels and therefore implies an average colorimetry.
Performance, battery life of the HP Pavilion 14-dv0039nf
The HP Pavilion 14-dv0039nf is a responsive, compact High Definition laptop designed for everyday general-purpose use.
It benefits from an SSD storage whose large capacity of 1 TB rivals what hard disks offer, enough to store and install multiple files and software, which will suit a maximum of users.
And all the more so as an SSD is silent while being more resistant to shocks than a hard drive, more energy efficient and much faster.
As a result, thanks to the SSD, for example, we take advantage of much faster starts / stops than with a simple hard drive, just like processing and software launches, or even a faster arrival on the cards of online games.
Because it is possible to play with this thin and light laptop PC while it does not have a dedicated graphics card. This is thanks to the services of the Intel Iris Xe solution integrated into the processor, which prove to be significantly more efficient than those provided by the classic Intel UHD 620.

Tested by them, the Iris Xe allows you to watch photos and videos of course, but also to play titles that do not require too much graphic resources.
That being said, to play more demanding titles or perform heavy work in processor resources on a regular basis, it will be better to opt for a PC with a dedicated graphics card suitable for the use you want and / or a non-low power processor.
As for the battery life of this Ultrabook whose compactness, finesse and lightness facilitate transport, expect about 7 hours on battery in light use.
