As part of CES 2022 HP unveils its new ZBook Firefly G9 series, workstation-style Ultrabooks Pro running Windows 11 with a recent Intel Alder Lake processor and an NVIDIA Quadro graphics card, in 14-inch and 16-inch formats for an announced battery life of 17 hours.
The new HP ZBook Firefly G9 series scheduled for March 2022 is built around an Intel Alder Lake processor and more specifically Alder Lake-H up to the Core i7-12700H (14 cores, 6P 2.3GHz, 8E 1.7 GHz) with Intel Iris Xeintegrated graphics solution.
It features M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 (2280) SSD storage and up to 64 GB DDR5 4800MHz as well as an optional NVIDIA Quadro T500 4 GB GDDR6 dedicated graphics card.
In addition, the HP ZBook Firefly G9 adopts a 16/10th DreamColor format including an IPS Full HD WUXGA (1920×1200) anti-glare 45% NTSC or 100% sRGBpanel option, with multi-touch option and HP Sure View prying eyes protection. Above sits a 5 megapixel webcam with microphone.
In addition, it has a Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2, Intel AX211), Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.0b, audio combo Headphone / Microphone, 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 4 Type-C Thunderbolt 4.
5G and NFC options are also planned as well as a SmartCard reader.
Two Bang&Olufsen speakers and a splash-resistant backlit chiclet keyboard are also part of the game, as is an optional fingerprint reader for authentication byfingerprint recognition via Windows Hello technology.
The HP ZBook Firefly G9 range, which comes in HP ZBook Firefly 14 G9 in compact 14-inch format and HP ZBook Firefly 16 G9 in 16-inchformat, ensures a battery life of 17 hours with the Li-Polymer 76Whr battery that can be recharged to 50% in 30 minutes.
However basic, a 3-cell 51Whr Li-Polymer battery is provided for an advertised autonomy of 13 hours.
The HP ZBook Firefly 16 G9 that accommodates a numeric keypad measures 358.7 x 250.9 x 19.9 mm and weighs 1.8 Kg.
