Chassis, connectors, screen of the HP Pavilion 13-bb0011nf

With its fine and light light silver frame, it sports a sober and elegant design.

Its connection is good, consisting of 1 USB 3.2 Type-C, a practical HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or a monitor for example, wireless Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0 modules to connect and communicate remotely, from a combo Headphone / Micro audio port but also from 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 peripherals are connected to it.

A fingerprint reader is integrated, which allows authentication by biometric recognition via Windows Hello technology.

In addition, a backlighting system is fitted to the chiclet keyboard, which is very practical for distinguishing its keys in the event of reduced ambient light.

Thanks to its IPS technology, the screen has vertical and horizontal viewing angles. Its colorimetry is however average, lower than that of more high-end IPS panels. In any case, with its 16: 9 format and precise Full HD definition, the screen lends itself well to displaying High Definition content such as videos. Surprise for a portable computer that wants to be nomadic, the screen is adorned with a glossy treatment making it more subject to reflections than an anti-reflective panel in a bright environment (eg outdoors) but which gives color to the punch.

Performance, battery life of the HP Pavilion 13-bb0011nf

The HP Pavilion 13-bb0011nf is a compact laptop designed for everyday use on the go.

It delivers good performance in everyday use, such as surfing the Internet and in office automation, because it is built around a good amount of 8 GB RAM which is very useful in multitasking and a low consumption Tiger Core i3-1115G4 processor Lake. However, the latter shows its limits under software requiring CPU resources.

Contrary to what HP France specifies, the Core i3-1115G4 houses an Intel UHD graphics solution and not Iris Xe according to Intel. We can therefore watch photos and videos on this ultraportable which is not, however, designed for games and more generally demanding graphics work.

In terms of storage, HP has chosen here a silent SSD but also more robust than a hard drive, less energy and much faster.

Thanks to the SSD, the responsiveness of this Ultrabook is much better than what it would offer if it had a simple hard drive. For example, the SSD benefits from software launches and much faster starts / stops.

With its 256 GB, the SSD offers sufficient capacity for a number of uses. But it is below the standard of hard disks. However, if you need more space, you can of course rely on an external storage device such as a USB 3.0 / USB-C device to benefit from fast transfers.

As for the autonomy of this Ultrabook, whose lightness, finesse and compactness facilitate transport, while waiting for more concrete tests, bet on about 6 hours of battery operation in light use.
