Western Digital highlighted its subsidiary SanDisk at CES 2020 by unveiling its new portable external SSD offering a record storage capacity of 8 TB !
Equipped with a USB 3.1 (Gen2) interface, it offers an advertised speed of 20 GB / s.
It remains to be seen what will happen in practice when it is marketed, but no date or price have yet been announced.
In parallel Western Digital has announced its SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe , a USB key .
With a light silver metal design, this 2-in-1 USB key offering a classic USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Type-C double connection , practical to use it on PC as well as on Tablet or Smartphone.
Guaranteed for 5 years , it promises to have a speed of up to 150 MB / s.
The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe USB key is expected for the end of the 1st quarter of 2020, for 10.99 dollars in 32 GB version, 14.99 euros in 64 GB version, 24.99 dollars for 128 GB, 45.99 dollars for 256 GB, 89.99 dollars for 512 GB and $ 249.99 for 1 TB.
