The HP 250 G9 is a new versatile thin and light laptop targeting professionals built around an Intel Alder Lake processor, an NVIDIA graphics card, dual SSD hard drive storage and Wi-Fi connectivity. -Fi ax and USB-C, all in a 15-inch chassis.
Black or silver, the HP 250 G9 is a portable PC built around a low-power Intel processor either Alder Lake-U (TDP 15W): Core i3-1215U (6 cores: 2P 1.2 GHz, 4P 0.9 GHz), Core i5-1235U (10 cores: 2P 1.3 GHz, 8P 0.9 GHz) or Core i7-1255U (10 cores: 2P 1.7 GHz, 8P 1.2 GHz);
either Alder Lake-P (TDP 28W) Core i5-1240P (12 cores: 4P 1.2 GHz, 8P 1.3 GHz) or Core i7-1260P (12 cores: 4P 2.1 GHz, 8P 1.5 GHz). All these processors directly integrate the Iris Xe
graphics solution .
Some models can also be supplied with an entry-level very low power Jasper Lake processor (TDP 6W) either Celeron Dual Core N4500 or Pentium Quad Core Silver N6000, both clocked at 1.1 GHz and equipped with an Intel graphics module UHD.
As an option, a modest NVIDIA Turing graphics card is provided, the dedicated GeForce MX550 2 GB DDR6.
The display is here entrusted to a 15.6-inch anti- reflective screen either WXGA HD (1366×768) 250cd/m² 45% NTSC, or Full HD (1920×1080) 250cd/m² 45% NTSC, or IPS Full HD 300cd/m² 100 % sRGB .
There is also a Wi-Fi 6 ax (2×2) or Wi-Fi 5 ac (1×1 or 2×2) connection, Bluetooth 4.2/5/5.3, HDMI 4.1b, Gigabit Ethernet, audio combo Headphone/ Micro, 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1), 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen1) as well as a 3-in-1 SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader.
The HP 250 G9 also houses 2 DDR4 3200MHz RAM slots in its heart for a maximum capacity of 32 GB.
But also 2 storage slots : 1 in M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD format from 128 GB to 1 TB and 1 in 2.5 inch format for 1 TB hard drive at 5400 rpm.
This laptop is also equipped with 2 speakers (2W), a 720p HD webcam with microphone and a chiclet keyboard with a backlight option for the keys.
Speaking of options, a fingerprint reader is provided to authenticate biometrically via Windows Hello.
The HP 250 G9 offers an announced autonomy of 8h20 with its 3-cell 41Whr Li-Polymer battery, and this under Windows 11 (Pro), associated with a 45W or 65W adapter depending on the version.
Equipped with a TPM 2.0 security chip, it weighs 1.74 Kg and measures 358 x 242 x 19.9 mm , which positions it in the clan of Ultrabooks .
Count less than 780 euros for an HP 250 G9 with Core i3, 8 GB DDR4, 256 GB SSD and 45% NTSC Full HD screen, less than 840 euros to upgrade to a Core i5 ( less than 910 euros for the Windows 11 Pro version ), or even less than 1200 euros for an HP 250 G9 with Core i7, 16 GB DDR4, 512 GB SSD and 45% NTSC Full HD screen.
