The Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 3 is a new versatile multimedia laptop oriented Pro that runs on Windows 11 or Linux with an Intel Alder Lake-H processor, an NVIDIA Ampere RTX graphics card, PCIe 4.0 storage, a TrackPoint or connectivity with Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6 and 4G, all in a chassis with a 15-inch screen up to 4K.
A new laptop that weighs 2,226 Kg and measures 366.5 x 250 x 22.7 mm, the Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 3 runs on Windows 11 (Pro) or a Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Ubuntu linux distribution.
It offers optional 4G/LTE connectivity via eSIM, Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2, Intel AX211), Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI (4K@60Hz), headphone/mic combo audio, Gigabit Ethernet (I219-LM/V), 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1, 1 Always On) and 1 USB 4 Type-C Thunderbolt 4 as well as an SD card reader.
This computer is built around an Alder Lake Intel processor and more precisely Alder Lake-H with Iris Xe integrated graphics solution, either Core i7-12700H (14 cores, 2.3 GHz, 6P 8E) or Core i7-12800H (14 cores, 2.4 GHz, 6P 8E).
The Alder Lake-H is associated with a maximum RAM of 64 GB DDR5 4800MHz (2 slots) as well as a dual storage slot for M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD in 2280 format configurable in RAID 0/1 with a capacity of 256 GB to 2 TB.
In addition, there is a dedicated graphics card NVIDIA Ampere GeForce RTX 3050 4 GB GDDR6 dedicated (35W).
It controls the 15-inch IPS anti-glare screen either Full HD (1920×1080) 300cd/m² 45% NTSC 800:1 multi-touch touch 10-point or not, or Full HD 300cd/m² 100% sRGB 1200:1, or 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) 600cd/m² 100% AdobeRGB 1400:1 DisplayHDR 400.
Above is an optional webcam with privacy shutter to preserve privacy, either HD 720p or Infrared 720p.
The Infrared webcam allowing facial recognition is one of the 2 biometric authentication options possible via Windows Hello with this computer in addition to the fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.
Within the Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 3, there are also 2 speakers (2 x 2W) Dolby Autio Premium, a keyboard with splash-resistant numeric keypad and optional backlight as well as a dual pointing system combining the classic touchpad with the rarest and most accurate TrackPoint.
The new versatile Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 3 laptop with a discreet black design is equipped with a 68Whr Li-Polymer battery that can be recharged by 80% in 1 hour thanks to rapid charge playback.
According to our information, several editions of the Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 3 are planned in France, mainly with Core i7-12700H, 16/32 GB DDR5, SSD of 512 GB or 1 TB, Full HD screen 45% NTSC or 4K and infrared webcam, and this under Windows 11.
