Are you looking for a very low budget, comfortable and compact laptop PC on which to do everyday office automation? The HP 15s-eq1068nf has a few strengths going for it. First, its fast SSD storage of good capacity (512 GB) and then its AMD Athlon Siver 3050U mobile processor quite capable of coping with everyday work, all enclosed in a 1.69 kg case for 18 mm thick with a sober design but embellished with an original pattern. A USB Type-C connection is also present. Of course, entry level requires, the case is plastic, the keyboard not backlit and the storage capacity is limited.

If it does not radically change the codes present on entry-level HP laptops, the design of the HP 15s-eq1068nf takes the right turns. Installed in an anthracite / black polycarbonate shell, it adorns the back of the cover and around the keyboard with an original and discreet graphic pattern. The screen borders are slightly refined on the sides but we are still quite far from borderless.
The keyboard is not backlit on this model but has a numeric keypad .
It is in terms of format that we can see the efforts made by HP. With 1.69 kg on the scale for this model without hard disk and 17.9 mm thick, the PC displays the measurements of an ultrabook and will not be against a few trips.
We then continue on the screen, rather basic here. It is satisfied with an HD definition (1366 x 768 px) with an average maximum brightness (220 nits) and is based on a TN panel with narrow viewing angles and average colorimetry. The only small positive side comes from its anti-reflective treatment which improves the readability of the image in strong ambient light.
For its part, the connection receives all the standard at this level with the presence of two USB 3.2 ports of standard size, a USB 3.2 Type-C port , an HDMI output, a multiformat SD card reader and a headphone jack. The fairly recent versions of the Wifi AC and Bluetooth 4.2 modules are also on the menu, but the Ethernet port has disappeared, due to finesse.
Performance, battery life of the HP 15s-eq1068nf
Storage is the centerpiece here. It is entrusted to a 512 GB SSD which will significantly enhance the overall responsiveness of the system on a daily basis compared to a configuration with a mechanical hard drive. Good point, the 8 GB RAM ensures comfortable and smooth multitasking.
The AMD Radeon Vega 2 chipset integrated into the processor will take care of the graphics rendering, enough to support current use without the possibility of playing except facebook games.
Finally, the HP 15s-eq1068nf should be able to squeeze around 6 hours of battery life from its 41 Whr battery when browsing the web with active Wi-Fi. It is average.
