This versatile laptop has good connections including 1 USB-C, a practical HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV for example, Wi-Fi ax wireless modules ( more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac ) and Bluetooth 5.2 for remote connections and communications, an audio port not to mention 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 peripherals are connected to it .
You can backlight the keys of the chiclet keyboard of course, which is practical for better distinguishing its keys in the event of reduced ambient light.
Thanks to its IPS technology, the screen has significant viewing angles, both horizontally and horizontally. The colorimetry here is however classic, lower than that of high-end IPS panels. As it incorporates a low-power Alder Lake hybrid Intel Core i5-1235U processor associated with 16 GB of RAM, it delivers good general performance capable of satisfying many users.
It is particularly suitable for content multimedia processing using RAM and multicores – and therefore the 10 cores of the Alder Lake – which is the case, for example, in video conversion or photo editing.
As a bonus it is possible to watch photos and videos but also to play modest titles. And this thanks to the Iris Xe graphics module directly housed in the Core i5 Alder Lake-U.
On the other hand, to often carry out work that consumes processor and/or graphics resources, it is preferable to opt instead for a PC equipped with a non-low-power processor and/or an appropriate dedicated graphics card.
Storage is entrusted to an SSD which turns out to be less energy intensive than a hard drive, more robust, silent and much faster.
Concretely, the SSD guarantees much better fluidity and responsiveness on a daily basis than a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, we obtain in particular much faster processing as well as the start / stop and launch of software, or even a faster arrival on the cards of online games.
