Chassis, connectors, screen of Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14IIL05 (81WD00GAFR)
With its thin and light Platinum Gray chassis, it has a sober and elegant look.
This Ultrabook has a correct connection including a practical HDMI video output for easy connection to a TV or monitor for example, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless modules and Wi-Fi ac to communicate and connect remotely, an audio port as well as 2 USB 3.0 (compatible USB 2.0) guaranteeing transfers carried out up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 peripherals are connected to them. USB 3.1 Type-C point, however, which may disappoint some.
In any case, multimedia enthusiasts such as videos and more generally those who wish to display High Definition content on their PC will be delighted that the screen adopts a 16 / 9th format and a precise Full HD definition higher than the 1366×768 standard. Thanks to its anti-reflective coating, the screen is also more readable than a shiny panel in a bright environment (eg outdoors).
Performance, battery life of Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14IIL05 (81WD00GAFR))
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14IIL05 (81WD00GAFR) is a compact High Definition laptop designed for everyday use on the go.
Fairly easy to transport due to its compactness, finesse and lightness, this Ultrabook offers approximately 6 hours of battery life in light use.
It is built around a low power Ice Lake Core i3-1005G1 Turbo processor and a good amount of 8 GB RAM. This duo provides good performance in everyday use, such as office automation and surfing the Internet.
However, you should be aware of the fact that the Intel Core i3 and AMD Ryzen 3 reveal their limits in applications requiring processor resources.
But the Core i3 Turbo are significantly more efficient than the non-Turbo Core i3s (Core i3-7xxxU and lower).
You can obviously watch photos and videos on this thin and light PC, thanks to the modest Intel UHD 620 solution integrated into the Core i3 Turbo Ice Lake. However, this Ultrabook is not designed for gaming since it does not include a dedicated graphics card in addition.
Its responsiveness is however clearly reinforced by its SSD storage, compared to a hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, we benefit from much faster starts / stops and software launches for example.
An SSD is indeed much faster than a hard drive while being more robust, more energy efficient and silent. With its 256 GB, the SSD here onboard offers sufficient capacity for a number of uses but less than the standard of hard disks.
If you need more space, you can use an external storage unit such as a USB 3.0 device for fast transfers.
