Enjoy the comfort of the 17-inch format in a thin and light chassis with the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H9003WFR). This laptop contains a recent Core i5 Quad Core processor associated with an Iris Xe graphics chip, 8 GB of RAM and fast 512 GB SSD storage for system fluidity. Everything is enclosed in a 2.1 kg box for 19 mm thickness with USB-C connection. On the other hand, the screen is basic, the keyboard not backlit and there is no biometric connection but the battery life is not ridiculous for a 17 inch.

Chassis, connectors, screen of Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H9003WFR)
Lenovo is updating its 17-inch IdeaPad 3 with the latest Intel processor and significantly dusting off its design. This large format laptop PC takes place in a 19.9 mm thick chassis and in a slightly compacted format: 399 x 274 mm against 402 x 281 mm for its predecessor. The smoothness is worthy of the clan of ultrabooks (15 inches and lower) for a weight reduced to 2.1 kg . This is particularly well optimized for a 17-inch, especially as Lenovo has reduced the bezel around its screen for a more convincing borderless effect.
Regarding the visual of the PC presenting the screen, it is the visual of the old generation, Lenovo has not yet made available all its official visuals. Those on the sides and back, however, are representative of this model.
Regarding the case itself, we remain on the entry level and even if the aesthetics are neat on an Arctic Gray color (dark gray), the IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 is surrounded exclusively by plastic (polycarbonate), therefore demanding some rigorous precautions during handling. Otherwise, the finishes are neat and the look goes everywhere. Note also that the keyboard is not backlit.
Around the screen, Lenovo has sought to slightly refine the borders but without being borderless, which does not detract from the charm of the PC. We discover a screen with basic specifications: a standard definition (1600 x 900 px) and the support of a TN panel leading to narrow viewing angles. Good point, however, the anti-reflective treatment will prevent glare situations in a bright environment.
To finish with the study of the chassis, the connection finally accommodates a USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen1) port in addition to the two USB-A ports (2.0 and 3.2). At their side, the HDMI output and the SD card reader are still present but the Ethernet port is still absent for subscribers, ousted on the altar of finesse. Regarding wireless modules, the PC takes advantage of the latest generations of Wifi ax and Bluetooth 5.1.
Performance, battery life of Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H9003WFR)
To animate this IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H9003WFR), we have a Core i5-1135G7 processor11th generation Tiger Lake. This processor brings some interesting advances, starting with a higher TDP. Thus, the Core i5-1135G7 of our Ideapad displays a TDP of 28W where its predecessors, the Core i5-1035G4 and the Core i5-10210U are satisfied with a TDP of 15W. This leads to a fairly visible increase in performance on advanced software (Lightroom, Capture One Pro, Davinci Resolve, 7Zip, etc.), a little less on basic everyday tasks (Office, surfing the Web, streaming …) . We understand, these tasks in question are perfectly taken care of by the PC, but since these are missions that only commit very few resources, the difference between the generations is not noticeable. And then keep in mind that we still have a low-power Core i5 in front of you, therefore not enough to provide intensive performance in creation as would non-low consumption processors (-H). In front,8 GB RAM is the minimum currently for multitasking, knowing that the RAM is soldered so take your needs into account.
More interesting still, the new integrated graphics chip Iris Xe allows Intel to come back in the race against AMD but also and especially against small NVIDIA graphics cards like the GeForce MX250 or the GeForce MX350. The performances of the Iris Plus G7 of the Gen10 (Ice Lake) are exceeded by a good length. So, with the Iris Xe, you should be able to play many games at 1080p under good conditions and work on fairly graphics-intensive tasks (Lightroom) without delay. Another benefit of having a faster graphics chip integrated into the processor is that it simplifies the design of the ventilation system and therefore causes less noise and heat than in a configuration with a dedicated graphics card.
For its part, the storage is entrusted to a 512 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD which will bring a welcome dose of responsiveness to the system. Compared to a standard mechanical hard drive, is is quieter, more robust and energy efficient, and allows Windows to achieve remarkable smoothness with short load times and zero latency execution. What’s more, its capacity is nothing short of ridiculous and can accommodate a good chunk of your game library although some may not find it sufficient.
Finally, the 45 Whr battery should allow about 6 to 7 hours of battery life in Internet browsing with active WiFi, enough to enjoy a little freedom on the move, without asking too much.
