The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4 and Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4 are thin and light mobile laptops with a battery life of up to 15 hours on Windows 11 equipped with an AMD Barcelo processor up to the Ryzen 7 Octo Core, PCIe 4.0 SSD storage or USB-C and Wi-Fi ax connectivity.
The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4 is based on an AMD Barcelo APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) processor – equivalent to a Cezanne Refresh – low-power Quad Core Ryzen 3 5425U (2.7 GHz), Hexa Core Ryzen 5 5625U (2.3 GHz) or Octo Core Ryzen 7 5725U (2.0 GHz), all incorporating Radeon Vega graphics.
The heart of this laptop with an all-aluminum or aluminum/plastic Design Black (black) or Mineral Metallic (silver) also consists of a RAM of 40 GB DDR4 3200MHz of RAM (4/8 GB soldered 1 slot) and 2 M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD storage slots with a capacity of 256 GB to 1 TB (2242 and 2280 formats).
This laptop also integrates Wi-Fi 6 ax (2×2, Mediatek MT7921 or Realtek RTL8852BE), Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 1.4b, audio combo Headphone / Microphone, 1 USB 3.2 (Gen1, Alway On), 1 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2).Optionally a Gigabit Ethernet port (Realtek RTL8111H-CG) can be integrated.
The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4 runs on Windows 11 (Pro) with a 45Whr Li-Polymer battery rechargeable of 80% in 1 hour with Rapid Charge technology offering an advertised battery life of 9 hours. The autonomy even climbs to 15 hours with the optional battery of greater capacity Li-Polymer 57Whr.
It entrusts its display to a 14-inch 16/9th Anti-Glare Full HD (1920×1080) screen, or TN 250cd/m² 45% NTSC 500:1, or IPS 300cd/m² 45% NTSC 800:1, or IPS 300cd/m² 100% sRGB 1200:1.
Above the screen sits a webcam with Privacy Shutter to preserve privacy, either 720p or 1080p, or 1080p with Infrared technology allowing biometric authentication by facial recognition via Windows Hello technology also operated by the optional fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.
There are also 2 speakers (2 x 2W) Dolby Audio Harman, a splash-resistant chiclet keyboard with option to backlight the keys but also a dual pointing solution combining the classic touchpad with the rarest and most accurate TrackPoint.
The new rugged Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4 with its AMERICAN military resistance standard MIL-STD-810H weighs 1.59 Kg and measures 324 x 220.7 x 18.9 mm in aluminum (shell) plastic (base) edition, compared to 1.64 Kg and 324 x 220.7 x 17.9 mm for an all-aluminum version.
Its big brother the Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4 stands out for its larger 15.6-inch aluminum/plastic format that weighs 1.78 Kg and measures 365 x 240 x 18.9 mm.
This allows it to accommodate on the right a numeric keypad.
In addition, it integrates an Ethernet port as standard.
The majority of Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4 and Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4 editions planned for France includes 8/16 GB DDR4, a 256/512 GB SSD, a Full HD IPS display and an Infrared webcam with backlit keyboard.
