The Lenovo ThinkPad P15v Gen 3 is a new versatile laptop targeting professionals with its NVIDIA Pro graphics card and AMD Rembrandt processor up to the Ryzen 7 Octo Core without forgetting its 2 biometric authentication solutions. Equipped with a 15-inch screen from Full HD to 4K AdobeRGB, this laptop that runs on Windows 11 or Linux has a PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, a TrackPoint or a connection with Wi-Fi 6E, USB 4 Type-C.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P15v Gen 3 is a new discreet black laptop that weighs 2.26 Kg, measures 366.5 x 250 x 22.7 mm and runs on Windows 11 (Pro) or a Linux distribution: Ubuntu or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
It is built around an AMD APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) Rembrandt processor either Hexa Core Ryzen 5 Pro 6650H (3.3 GHz) integrating the Radeon 660M graphics solution or Octo Core Ryzen 7 Pro 6850H (2.7 GHz) with Radeon 680M.
The integrated graphics solution is supported by a professional 35W dedicated graphics card: NVIDIA T600 4 GB GDDR6 dedicated, NVIDIA T1200 4 GB GDDR6 or NVIDIA RTX A2000 4 GB GDDR6.
The core of this laptop also consists of a RAM up to 64 GB DDR5 4800MHz (2 slots, non-ECC) and a dual M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 (2280) SSD storage slot with a capacity of 256 GB to 2 TB supporting RAID 0/1.
Equipped with a 68Whr Li-Polymer battery that can be recharged by 80% in 1 hour thanks to Rapid Charge technology, the Lenovo ThinkPad P15v Gen 3 integrates Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2, Qualcomm NFA-725A), Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI (4K@60Hz), Gigabit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8111EP), headphone/microphone combo audio, 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1, 1 Always On) and 1 USB 4 Type-C (40 Gb/s) as well as an SD card reader and optional a headphone/microphone reader Smart Card cards.
On the display side, there is a 15.6-inch IPS anti-glare screen either Full HD (1920×1080) 300cd/m² 45% NTSC 800:1, or Full HD 100% sRGB 1200:1, or Ultra HD 4K (3840×2160) 600cd/m² 100% AdobeRGB 1400:1 DisplayHDR 400 X-Rite Pantone Dolby Vision.
Above it is a 720p HD webcam with microphone and privacy shutter to preserve privacy, and optional Infrared technology allowing authentication by facial recognition via Windows Hello technology. This is also exploited by the fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.
Also worth mentioning is the presence of 2 speakers (2x2W) Dolby Audio, a backlit chiclet keyboard resistant to splashes and a dual pointing system combining the classic touchpad with the rarest and most accurate TrackPoint.
